Does anyone know if the hard courts for the olympics are slow, medium, fast? Looking forward to some great matches in China

Are these the same courts they use for the ATP event? They were medium-fast as I remember.

But Rafa won there so maybe they were quite slow. :p Then again he had to play Ferrero and Coria to take the title.

Yes,

The same place as ATP event. The same surface, and it should be resonably fast.

the chinese girls like fast surfaces
so i think it will be more likely that the courts will be fast to improve chinese chances of olympics medals for their womens doubles team

they have no chances on the mens side

does anybody know if the show courts have retractable roofs or anything like that for continuous play in case of inclement weather?

The Argentines are saying they are happy because the courts are slower than expected.

It will depend on what Nadal achieves. Court speed is measured by Nadal success on it.

:lol::yeah:
Maybe they will spill some rise over the court to make it slower.
You know...the conspiracy theory...even grass is not what once was.;)

Anyway, good surface for Novak, I'm just concern about the climate factors...as humidity...is it biggher/higher than in Cincy?

If Nadal wins, then it's slow.

True. There are two types of Hard Courts:

1) Blue Clay, powered by Uncle Toni Blue Clay Extractions LTD.

2) Ultra-Fast-Low-Bouncing-as-hell Hard Courts, the real deal, the real tennis. God Bless America and the American HC Tennis!

It wouldn't matter. The acid rain would just burn right through it.

Wilson tennis balls definitely help the big shot players. Lighter balls always help them.

Hantuchova said the surface played quite similarly to the courts in Melbourne.
