Tennis players who carried their countries flag

Is there a list of past flag bearers who were tennis players ?
We know that Federer will make it two times in a row, what about Rafa and Nole? Will Federer be the only tennis player?

For Germany it'll probably be NBA star Dirk Nowitzki.

Massu did it in Sydney

Gonzo will do it this year. :D

Seriously? What a marvelous lucky charm that has been for him. :) Even if it took 4 years to have any effect. ;)
Good to hear about Gonzo. One more person to keep an eye on at the opening ceremony.

Rios refused to carry the chilean flag in 2000, so Massu did it as an emergency...

Having the 'honour' of carrying that flag isn't always a good omen of what's to come...

Ask one Roger Federer.

What was his reason?

What was his reason?

Some idiots in the Chilean Olympic Comitee bashed him because he wanted some tickets for his family in the opening ceremony to see him with the flag. And the clowns say him NO!.

Classless from both sides IMO.

Gonzalez will be the chilean flag bearer, very deserved as Massu was our bearer in 2000 in Rios' place.

Yeah, I remember that, I was there.

Excluding Federer and González, will there be more players carrying their countries flag? (This year, obviously)

what about Rafa?

Rafa won't be carrying the flag, David Cal (a canoe man) is the chosen one.

Also, Goran was the first athlete EVER who won a medal for independent Croatia... Croatia appeared 1st time at Olympics as independent country in Barcelona '92...
