you have got to be kidding me. he is going to take the U.S. Open. he will then set his sights on taking at least the masters event in Madrid or Paris and then the masters cup.

translation: he will take 3 more events in 2008. does Davis Cup count? he will destroy the Americans all by himself at home on clay in september.

How about the Australian Open? Still slower than the US.

I think you need to be pretty dumb to say Nadal won't win another tournament between now and Monte Carlo. It could happen, but with the way he's playing, who would seriously bet on it?

hopefully never, but if i had to choose one i'd say monte carlo.

At Us Open and at the indoor tourneys it will be tough for him.But if he wins Madrid or Paris probably Madrid he would be more then happy.

Then I will settle even for half year without tournament.

He will lose his next 32 matches and finally win a challenger in late 2009 sometime. I'm not sure which one yet.

I can't believe "Monte Carlo 2009" is leading...

Those who have voted this are either totally delusional or haters who can't be objective. Yeah I'm a hater but at least, I'm objective

If he had lost a close one last night maybe the voting would be different, but he got spanked. With all the remaining tournaments on HC or carpet, it will be tough playing like he did last night, and some of the other guys playing so well, Djok, Murray, etc.
I think the vote shows more than just haters, but I could be wrong. I don't hate Nadal, but winning one of the events in the poll will be tough. There are a lot of guys right now playing pretty damn well on the hard stuff. Now that he will be #1 his draws will be a lot easier, but it's still going to be tough.
He's going to have to get up into the court and get those returns deeper and/or lower.

I'm agree with MTF Master Clay Death If he will not win the Olympics he will pick the U.S. as I don't see right now anybody taking from him 3 sets in one match (if he's not fatigued/exhausted like he was last night with Novak) He has to rest, a warrior like him deserve some rest. He has won almost all events since last Miami where he has runner up, then Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Hamburg, Roland Garros, Queen's, Wimbledon, Toronto...Davis Cup in the middle...Wouldn't you be also exhausted? I'd be. And that is not an excuse. Rafa will prevail, let's don't forget that. He will be a good #1. Finally I think that he'll win at least 3 more titles until the end of 2008 season.

In fact, the "other" option is missing. I mean, ok maybe he'll not win one of the tournaments in the poll, I doubt it but ok.
But thinking he'll not win a single tournament (Rotterdam or Dubaï 2009 for ex) until Monte Carlo...

The guy just have won 32 matchs in a row so unless an injury I don't see how he could not win a tournament until April 2009.

Agree 100%. I was just looking at those on the poll and they are all fast HC and indoor carpet..

Ok my english is shit but I think you're being ironic, right ? :p

Rotterdam and Dubai are definitely not the best examples but why not ? Don't forget Nadal won Dubai in 2006 beating a certain Federer in the final ;)

Toronto 2008 is NOT going to be the last title that Rafa wins this year.

My crystal ball sees more titles to win for Rafa this year.

Stay tuned.

How on earth does moving from number 2 to number 1 make his draws "a lot easier"?

Drawing on my superior tennis wisdom, I deduce that Nadal will never win another tournament until the seniors tour where he'll beat McEnroe in an epic.

why is your boy so tired ? any ideas ?

LOL @ these haters. I say the chance of that happening is exponentially higher for the players you haters root for. After all, Nadal will soon be the number 1 ranked player in the world, and he is a lock for most of the clay tournaments.

Why are you so nasty?
You Fedtards knew one day Roger will start going down you couldn't be that delusional believing he'll stay on top for ever. So what is it that makes you such sore losers now? Isn't 5 years of domination not enough for you? Well Rafa overtook him on the top, any other successful player could have done it. What's your problem?

And stop referring to Roger as if he's dead and make stupid threads like "Aren't you missing Fed already" and "His best tourney" blah blah. It's disgusting.
