I think Djokovic gets this one though, confidence will be high after the Nadal win. Hope I'm proven wrong.

I think murray in two.

Djoke has amazing talent and ability, but he doesnt play with much intelligence during rallies. He played into murrays hands in their last match, and he seemed to be playing the same way just now. So same result as before.

Novak.

Tough one to call. I don't see Nole producing tonight's performance two days in a row. If he does, Murray will have to be at the top of his game. Going for Murray in 3, but it could be my heart ruling my head. Should be a great match, regardless.

If Nole plays like he did tonight. Nole wins.

Murray has to not let Nole play his game. He needs to be agressive, S&V ocassionally, crank up the 2nd serve etc,use his famous BHDTL as much as he can to try and dictate play.

Murray's return of serve is the best in the world and if thats firing tommorow could be the telling factor.

Nerves could play a factor for both guys too. If Murray reverts back to his defensive moonballing waiting for Noles errors he may as well not turn up as he will be destroyed, but if he plays his best he will win, ultimately he has more dimensions to his game than Nole does.

Prediction Murray 7/5 6/4

Two tactically smart players, should be a great match. Murray won't have many chances if Djokovic plays like he did today, though.

HarryMan
08-03-2008, 01:40 AM
Wtf has tonights semifinal match got to do with the final tommorow?

Nadal doesn't even have a serve and is an absolute shit of a returner of serve ( he just moonballs them back). Murray will have some brilliant returns and test Djokovic completely in all areas of his game.

Djokovic will have to play his absolute best to beat Murray as Murray is playing very very well at the moment.

Guga_fan
08-03-2008, 01:48 AM
Considering the fact that Djokovic has been really inconsistent, he will probably play in a lower level then he did today, and thus lose to Murray, since he has been playing really well. I say Andy in three sets.

Very much looking forward to this match, as Muzza has been very good as of late, and while I haven't been that much impressed with Djoko as of late - this night's performance of his really knocked off my socks!

So, herewith the answer: I have *no idea*. Heart goes with Muzza, mind with Djoko.

Well, for a long time now, Rafa has lost to the eventual winner of the MS, when he doesn't lose really early like r2..... :(

I hope this changes and Murray wins....

But Murray is playing really well and beat Nole recently so there is hope.

C'mon Murray!

I think Nole will win.

I would prefer it if Andy won but I still think Nole has too much for him when he's playing well.

But all in all a great 2 weeks for Andy. Starting to go deep in the events that matter.

i hope novak wins because he played great against nadal and he has a good record over Murray. Even though Murray won in Toronto, Novak played like crap. It was the worst match ive seen in my entire life, seriously! It will be a tough match to call because Murray is playing ok and Novak is a bit of a ? at the moment. If Murray wins, i'll die because i will have to listen to the stupid and extremely biased British commentaters go on and on and on and on and on about Murray for weeks on end.Its not even funny, they always say his matches are brillant when most of the time they're very boring.(BTW I know its not Murray's fault hes just very unlucky to be the only good British player)So for my sanity, i pray that novak wins in straight sets.

He can't lose to the same pusher two weeks in a row right?

Meh, I doubt Novak will win. No way he can re-produce his form from last night again but if he does it will be an easy win. It should be an easy win, but somehow Murray beat him last week. Hopefully he won't play that badly this time. Oh, and actually being able to serve will help his cause.

Murray 4-6 6-3 6-3

Nole played so well because Nadal allowed him to by missing alot of returns and moonballing back the ones he made. Muzza on a good day is best returner in the world and would not let Nole be so dominant on serve.

I hope you are kidding, how many times Djokovic frustrated Murray with his "one dimensional game"?

It's a very good dimension. Besides, Nole has giving Murray two legitimate beatdowns (only one on hard) and the clay one was expected. In their first match of 2007 Murray was injured. Earlier I was going through the press conferences for both of them from that first MS semi final they played. Both conceded that Murray was injured after his match with Haas.

I think people exaggerate Nole's dominance over Andy. You can disregard the clay match, as it's irrelevant with regards to tonight's match. The only matches that matter are on hard. And Nole has two legitimate wins over Andy on hard. One was a 6-1, 6-0 hammering and one was a tight 3-setter in 2006.

Yes, he really is a contender... to go out in first round :bolt:

People here overate Murray. He was always a mug and I don't see anything has changed after some wins. He still doesn't have guts, and his form is too much unstable to even be considered as a top. So putting him as a title contender for USO is the same as putting Tsonga to repeat his great form and results.

I liked Murray's statement after the match. Asked who he would prefer to face - he said Nadal. Reasons: He's the number 1 player and have never beaten him... but tomorrow confident will beat him.

Straight forward answering.. well shame he's not facing Nadal... but Djorkovic match will be more aestecially pleasing. I find it hard to watch Nadal matches... he's not very attactive to watch.

I agree with most that this match is a toss up (although 66% picking nole). Both are playing great right now, but I'm picking Djok in 3. Although if Murray returns and passes nearly as well as he did against Karlo would be no surprise if he pulls this off. It should be a great match either way. Can't wait...
