I was only able to watch the first set because they switched to Nadal's match later. Verdasco wasn't feeling comfortable with the depth of Nico's shots and was doing several errors, this was the story of the first set. In the second set Verdasco had a couple of break points but didn't manage to break Lapentti, while the Ecuatorian broke in the 11th game of the set.

Amazing week for Nico :worship:

Next is Nadal or Haas, probably the first one. The chances would be veeeeery little here, but this run is already worthy a big :worship:, defeating Cilic, Ferrer and Verdasco on the way to the quarter-finals. Well, dreaming doesn't kill anyone, so vamos Nico tomorrow!!!

Mugdasco strikes again.

It is nice, in any case to see that 32year old could play tennis at such a good level.

I was able to watch the second set on Betfair. Verdasco has no patience, Nico just kept mixing it up and Verdasco bashing the ball. :p Awesome run from Nico, and these QF points will come in handy.

Nico is just the coolest guy in the tour.

Is it? Hum... don't think so, it's just the first time I'm vocal.

Lapentti is very smart on court, how can you not like it?

Oh well "South America" is too abstract a concept, don't you think is's time already for Chile to produce something? the Rios phenomena is already history (what a shame of a wasted talent)

Well, South America is small continent, but the fact that 9 of the 10 countries speak spanish and the other speak portuguese made us like brothers. I'm talking in general, obviously there are countries that they don't have good relationship

In Chile's case, well Rios helped a lot, such a big talent, and then Gonzalez and Massu. The problem is that is nothing in the near future to replace this 3 guys. Chile was very lucky, being a small country with ZERO SPORT TRADITION and ZERO SPORT CULTURE to have 3 top players in one of the most popular and fantastic sports in the world like tennis.

In that case we'll have to root for the rest of southamerican players or something like that, or maybe the spaniards
