I gather there has been a bug that some people at the event have had - could be some of that I suppose, coupled with the conditions.

He's sick, French newspapers wrote he was throwing up after his first-round match.
He called the trainer today after a few games, but they just spoke. He didn't seem to have any injury, just felt too weak apparently.

Anyway, he was pretty annoying today again, he felt well enough to go 40-0 on his serve and then started to play the most careless shots ever to get broken and this kind of stunts...

The heat sure isn't doing any favours to the players, that's for sure.

Yeah, looked like he would have prefered to be somewhere else than on the court. Just no energy at all. He won the last point of the match to earn his first game, but Tommy's drop shot must have hurt a lot and probably showed him that he couldn't continue.

Especially that put away forehand at 40:30.

Monfils seemed to have stomach problems, was moving bad and Tommy played really good

Nicely played by Tommy.
Monfils seemed to get worse from the heat.

The Don should be banned from Masters Series events. 0-6 0-6 against Berlocq in Miami 2006, this time 1-6 1-6 against injured Monfils :retard: What a shame.

He's clearly improving :)

Take it easy on "The Don". It is a big step up from the juniors to the ATP (hey, this ain't the WTA where anyone with a nice a$$ and loud grunt can get some easy W's).

Well,

Haas has lived to this day (as a pro of course) and saw how it is when he is not the guy who retires :)

Should be interesting against Rafa.

Mugfils is the most gutless player on tour.

Worst Grand slam semi finalist in history.
