Not pretty, but good result for the South Tyrolean.

Good one, Seppi. :yeah:

Lopez is one of the few players I can't possibly like (even if his game can be quite good when it's on), so... eh... :wavey:

Lalo goes with Tipsarevic and Kohlschreiber as a player who can't win as a favorite.

Don't like Seppi but I like Lalo even less so congrats Seppi ;)

Nothing went right for Lopez. He had enough chances to win this in straights if he'd been able to take even half of them. But he couldn't do anything, it looked like he got robbed on a few calls, and even the net cord was against him. Just one of those days. I've never seen anyone run off a court so fast. His next tournament is LA, and if I were him, I'd go soon (after maybe a day or so of practice). No way would I stay in Cincy over LA.

Funny 1st set Seppi up 5-3 had around 12 set points, loses them and then wins the 1st set 7-5.

Even funnier LaLo, didn't make a backhand error until the second set.

Yes, because he sliced 99% of the backhands :)

I think Lopez was affected by the travel he had to make from the Los Angelas tournament...

Yes, because he sliced 99% of the backhands :)

He does that all the time, but he normally has 3 backhand errors in the first game.

fast clay, the LA event is next week.

Wasn't Lopez up a break in the 1st? then he was broken...then broke back and finally broken again? Oh wow!

Seppi vs Berdych should be a good one.

. Shocked for Lopez. Surprised he did not win this.

even when the odds are set to 50/50 by the books you would still say you are surprised player xyz lost.

lopez vs. seppi was a close match on the paper and for the books

expected double fault on match point. wonder how many times he's done that in the last few months. I guess he realises he's all serve.

he looked to be inventing a new style today, a net rusher who turns into a pusher when he gets to the net.

This is a good example of a match for those who are convinced LaLo has a good fh (I think he crushed like 10 of them into the bottom of the net) :haha:

The typical break when serving to stay in the match (I´m sure he´s the most broken player when serving to stay in the match among the big servers), double fault on mp were hilarious as well as the rant over the ball Seppi send into the line in the 2nd set. Thanks for the laughs, LaLo :yeah:

Yes, Lalo bitching about the Seppi backhand that landed on the line. He was screaming at the wall, like the wall is going to him any answers.

I prefer to say: Lalo is a player who can't win, in general.
