toronto and cincy both have decoturf,so how come each year the surface in cincy is much much quicker than in canada?
Why are the Cincy courts faster?Lurker011 07-27-2008, 02:43 AM toronto and cincy both have decoturf,so how come each year the surface in cincy is much much quicker than in canada? Neely 07-27-2008, 02:46 AM I'm not sure what exactly it is exactly in Cincinnati, but can tweak the speed of a hardcourt a lot. For example just what and how many layers of paint you are going to apply. Or in what direction the paint is applied, horizontally or vertically. Underground, exact composition, the hardening itself of the court. Rrrainer 07-27-2008, 02:48 AM does anyone know if that's still the case? The heat also speeds it up some. TankingTheSet 07-27-2008, 04:44 AM I think terms like "Decoturf" or "Taraflex" are simply brand names for several different tennis surface offered by a single company -- in many cases the same brand name is used for surfaces ranging from slow to fast. 10nisfan 07-27-2008, 05:03 AM guess Uncle Toni hasn't succeeded in Petitioning to Change the Court at Cincy into Blue Clay...:rolls: moon language 07-27-2008, 05:07 AM I think terms like "Decoturf" or "Taraflex" are simply brand names for several different tennis surface offered by a single company -- in many cases the same brand name is used for surfaces ranging from slow to fast. Decoturf and Plexicushion are from the same company, but Taraflex is from a different one. Vlad1980 07-27-2008, 05:09 AM Cincy and Toronto are completely different surfaces. Not only in speed but traction and bounce as well. Cincy is much much lower bouncing. Stefanos13 07-27-2008, 09:40 AM Cincy and Toronto are completely different surfaces. Do you know whether USO is more like Cincy or Toronto? cool bird1 07-27-2008, 10:13 AM I believe that the open is quicker than any of the MS. Due to the fact that all there players love quick surfaces KitinovRules 07-27-2008, 10:25 AM It is hot as hell in Cincy. It is quite quicker, and I think Toronto has bigger bounce. Oh and it is humid in Cincy, it is unbelievably dificult to play. JolánGagó 07-28-2008, 02:12 PM You are a true sour loser. You should change your Spanish nick 'Escude'. Well it isn't Spanish anyway. The rest of your post is apparently quite correct. In fact, I am the same age as Nadal, 22. I never thought that age was a reason for apologizing, but anyway, you always meet strange people. Regarding the surname, you really make me laugh because I am from Valencia, and two friends of mine from that city have that surname: 'ESCUDÉ'. At the moment, I live in Barcelona, and I can tell you that on my phone list there are three Escudés. I don't usually talk without being informed. Greetings from Barcelona. First mistake you make. And regarding your poster, I must say that, fortunately, nationalites are not established by graffity. It is normally your passport or your identity card, the formal document that establishes your nationality, whether you like it or not. Sebby 07-28-2008, 04:22 PM Sorry for not being the same age as Liza Minelly. In fact, I am the same age as Nadal, 22. Hey fangirl, Nicolas Escude was still full time on Tour in 2003 and won Rotterdam in 2001-2002 so like the MTF Escude said, go learn some things about tennis and come back. | |
