Can Blake Ward Off His Bitchassness For 3 More Matches?

James Blake has talent. That's a given. James Blake has game. That's true. But what he lacks is balls.

I've been OVER it and OVER it in my head why James can't seem to get it together long enough to string together a AMS title, or at least a GS semi.

And then, thanks to Diddy, I figured it out:

James Blake suffers from terminal Bitchassness!

With Federer out of the tournament and his respectable record against Nadal, does James have a shot to win Toronto?

i don't think he's that talented either, to be honest.

hes going out to colin farrell

I certainly hope so. I think his game is very entertaining (at least when he's playing well).
I doubt he's going to win Toronto. I'd be very happy if he did, though.

Blake loves to fail, especially when his draw is open. I would actually be more surprised to see him lose in the final to one of those good players than I would to see him fail against Kiefer, Simon, or Cilic.

No , Blake is crap

JimmyV

This is an awesome shot for Blake. That said, he'll more than likely lose to one of the lower ranked players before the final, probably Simon/Cilic in the semi. Him and Roddick love failing to capitalize whenever their draws open up. It's and American thing.

Edge to Blake due to the match last year. Didn't have the feeling that Blake's game is good for Kiwi.

Blake will lose in the final to Faker or win against Nadull.

Merton

Even if James makes it to the final (a big if in itself even though he is the top-ranked player from the top half) he will still find a way to lose in the final.

Depends on which universe we are in  He has a great chance this tournie now; if he would only stop with the lapses.

Very realistic chance that Blake will be USA's #1 come Davis Cup time.

If Blake beats Kiefer, there is no way he's beating Simon.

Simon is exactly the kind of player to expose Blake's bitchassness. The minute the "unforced" errors begin flying off Blake's racquet, it'll be a :baby: fest.

it would be bad for tennis if this guy makes the semis and play simon, it would be a letal weapon for tennis fans.

blake only has a chance against 1 guy in these qf's... nadal...

bad draw for him i am afraid...

bitchassness will be exposed by the german stormtrooper that is named keifer...

RagingLamb
07-25-2008, 05:45 PM
if he pulls through against Kiefer, he gets an exhausted Simon in the semis who will likely keel over with little resistance.

if he gets lucky again and gets nadal in the final, then he may have a small chance.

Blake was the capability to be a much better player, but absolutely refuses to play any other style except POUND AWAY. Today is a perfect example. Everybody knows Kiefer loves pace, so what's Blake doing, pounding away. It's pretty pathetic actually.

Blake the flake lost his last 2 matches to the Clay Monster on hard courts while the Clay Monster was in a major slump.

its a different Nadal in 2008. the 2 should never be mentioned in the same conversation. one is a clown while the other is all time great.

Blake has around 11 titles or so. in 10 of them, he never had to face a player ranked higher than #30.

We're just messing with you. It is amazing that he is 3-2 vs Rafa. Watching him play lately, he should not be 3-2 vs anybody.. but unfortunately, it will pop up on some stat in the future. It always does when a #1 player has a losing record to anybody.

affirmative.

also we are talking about a 5 times slam winner by barely 1 month past his 22nd birthday. 29 titles and 11 or 12 masters series shields by 22. #2 for 4 years which is the best in history.

he personally held captive one of the greatest ever to pick up a racquet. he holds a 12-6 head-to-head lead. also leads 10-4 in finals if not 11-4. has him in 4 out of 6 slams.

everything else is insignificant.

Blake who?

A little sensitive on the issue are we.. We all know Rafa's 10 times better than Blake so you can relax. On another note, did you see the new commercial with Nadal and McEnroe today ?? Thought I was going to fall out of my chair.. Friggin hilarious..

Wait till you see the Nadal one. Rafa is driving the bus and Mac is in the back playing his guitar (dressed "supposedly" like Rafa). It may be the funniest I've seen..

Incorrect. The two most important are Blake's won at the US Open and his win at the Masters Cup. Those are the two biggest events they played in therefore those are the two most significant. I know Nadal has improved since then but that matters little because a slam and masters cup match are more important.

But with all those rigged draws going on, I guess Blake will rather end up in Federer Djoko's half most of the time, no? :p

If you like - from that POV perhaps.

In a wider sense Nadal knows he can beat Blake on hardcourts and has now beaten all of his former hardcourt demons on hardcourts, pretty much.

For his wider chances that could prove to be significant for his confidence and future results.
