Was down a break in the 2nd set.
This is how you hit succesful drop shots. Especially the one at 15:30 in the first game of the decisive set was important. :yeah:

Davydenko led 3:1 in the 2nd set. Kiefer was playing amazingly from the baseline. The point he won at 15-30 in the first game of the final set was extraordinary :yeah:

One of these players (Simon, Cilic, Blake, Kiefer) will play in the final :worship:

I hate Davydenko with a burning passion.

What I wish on him I would not like to post on here.

Kiefer can always cause a problem if you let him hang around too long. Davydenko was up an early break in the second and then lost control of the match. Good job Kiwi! :) Now Blake is the top seed in the top half. Let's see how he handles that.

Kiefer was rock solid from the base line and had none of those easy volley mishits, which he sometimes likes to have in his game. :D
Forgot the name of the umpire (the swiss one?), but it was funny to see how Kiefer spoke in two languages to him. First in french and later on in english.

Unbelievably bad loss. What a horrible year Davydenko is having. Asides from Miami he has been a total trainwreck. He only has one chance left to salvage this disaster season and that is at the US Open. With him, Federer, Ferrer, and Roddick all transforming into mugs this year only Djokovic and Nadal are left playing at a consistently high level.

Federer is just having a bad year. Ferrer and Roddick have always played like this. Except for Roddick doing well at Dubai and beating Federer, Nadal and Djokovic in a very close period.

Cedric Morier, i think he is a Frenchman.

Ah yeah, I knew that his name started with M. I still remember previous conversations which he had with Kiefer before. :D

Do you ever have anything positive to say?

Anyway, Davy, you suck! I cannot believe you lost this one from a set and a break up. Ridiculous. I wanted Blake to beat you again. Oh well, he hasn't had problems with Kiefer either. In any event, good win for Kiefer.

great stuff, kiwi! i didn't think he would be able to pull it off but apparently he's still got what it takes. the draw opened up nicely for him anyways and i'm pretty sure he'll reach the final if he can fend off blake today.

go kiwi, go kiwi!

Davydenko needs to get his head back together, if he did he could be a challanger for a top 3 place next year. There is no way all 3 of them will be able to keep their level up, one will drop and i hope it is nadal. I hate nadal with passion, what i wish on him i would not like to post here.
