Well, at least he didn't try to hit a 3rd drop shot in that TB, after the first two attempts had failed miserably. Tommy in his usual happy mood, shouting "Scheisse" near the end of the match and killing his coach with deadly stares. :D

Hm, it looked good to me.
btw. a little bit OT:

do we know if/how many Beijing courts will have the challenge system?

2 drop shots and the fh put away at 5:5 which could have earned him the SP, just to name 3 examples.

Davy will like his chances at the final now that Fedmug is out. Youzhny could be tough though.

It was a close one, looked likely to be good to me though.

The few games we could see were high-quality ones, except the tie-breaker imo

I don't see that happening. Likely opponents Blake and Roddick own him although he did beat Roddick last time they played. If he did make the final though, I'd surely be cheering for him.

This match sounds like vintage Haas. Clowning away his serve in the first game of the match and showing amazing shot selection in the clutch breaker :worship:

Roddick owned pre-2004 Davy and the crappy Davy of the Masters Cup last year. Those are not the real Davy. And surely Davy can't keep losing to that mug Blake, not that it is a guarantee that Blake beats Tursunov who did beat him last week.

Saw matches on both courts---strange how they just walked over to the Grandstand when it got too dark on court 5. Davy was not uber-impressive but extremely solid. His movement and consistency are very intimidating, I think.

Nice win Davydenko.

If Rafa can't win this, I hope you do.

I hope you only were jokign.

Nothing points to that Tommy even makes a semifinal at a Mickey Mouse currently, maybe until the end of the season.

I'm glad he withdrawed from OLympics, he would not have the attitude for something special like that.
