Players Who Could Be Top 10

Which players who are down in the rankings do you think could be top 10 if they reached their potential or had a brain in their head.
I think that Xavier Malisse is terrifically talented and should be top 5 with his game, and won grand slams.

Malisse is overrated, not really top 5 material in my opinion.

Łukasz Kubot.

If he played as good as he looks of course (according to himself).

Agreed.

Mugdasco should have lost to Bellucci today. Top 10...

Agree on Ancic. I was pissed that he lost yesterday.

Even though they wouldn't be Top 10 material a couple of years ago, players like Verdasco and Almagro will end up being in the Top 10.

Talking about players who are yet to reach Top 10, I can see Monaco, Mathieu and Del Potro getting into 8-10 in the rankings in the next few years. Talented yet inconsistent players like Cilic, Tipsarevic, Soderling and Gulbis have the game to get into there, however they have to improve in order to reach it. If Verdasco was capable of improving on his mental skills a little bit, these guys with some off-court work can actually have a chance to do it too.

Another doubt is to know if Tsonga can actually play a whole season without injuries. If he can, he will be in Top 10 sooner or later.

There are so many players that could or should be in the Top10 but there is just not enough room.

I think Juan Martin Del Potro could make it - he seems like he could make a big splash on clay.

anyway it´s not "players who could be top 100" but "players who could be top 10"

If all these players play there Best tennis, they all have top 10 games.

Then again, in a one of match against a top 10 or top 5 player, anyone can play there ass out and be considered to be "top 10 material". It is difficult to judge, to be honest, but the rankings do "reward" consistency, which is arguably more important than talent.

I dont get why people are putting former world number ones and GS champions in their list. They've clearly made the top 10in their careers.

umm because they are not top 10 now. but still have the potential to make it back there if circumstnces were different. that would be what the question is asking

Sebastien Grosjean and David Nalbandian. Granted, the have been there, but it's still really disappointing because they have all the shots, the speed and the all-court ability. They've been successful everywhere but never consistently. Damnit!
