Here is a thread for two West Australians, Myles Armstrong and Matthew Ebden.

Armstrong, 22, this week achieved a career high ATP Tour Singles Ranking of 319, making him the 15th highest ranked Australian (and No.2 in Western Australia behind Brydan Klein). This is thanks largely to some impressive performances on the ITF Men's Circuit and some successful forays onto the Challenger Circuit.

Ebden, 20, also achieved a career high ranking this week of 379. He too has had some impressive performances over the past 12 months, especially on the ITF Men's Circuit, and he looks like one to watch in the future.

Armstrong is a member of the AIS Pro Tour Program, and it seems only a matter of time before Ebden joins him.

Good luck to both :)

Miles has a big game. Strong serve, heavy ground strokes, tees off! Tends to run either very hot or very cold. More your Gooch type.

Matt is the opposite. Consistent, controlled tennis but not such a big game. Clever player. Good hands at net so combines well with Brydan in doubles!
More your Smeets, Feeney type player.

Great win for Matthew Ebden overnight. He defeated the in form Kirillov from Russia 6/3 6/3 and now plays the top seed Stakhovsky for a place in the final! Fantastic win there for Matthew and lots and lots of points for him. Well done!

$2k doesn't seem like much for a semi's of a challenger event does it, tennis is a hard slog for the lesser lights.

Miles has made it into the quarters of the saransk challenger where he will play Istomin. Unfortunately Ebden lost though in three sets to Elgin.

Good these three getting away fromn the others. I see the other guys all knocked each other out in Brazil. It's good travelling together but if they all play the same Challengers (like Manchester) they take points off each other. Carsten and Nick have the right idea.

Well done to Miles.:worship: Matt and Bry doing well in the doubles too.:wavey:They all have to be in New Delhi by Monday joined by Greg Jones.
Could be tight!

Well Myles is playing in a 15k future tournament in Netherlands this week and as the one number seed, he shouldnt have too much trouble making it to the final. Would be nice if he could pick up his second future title this year. Definetly will help in October when he has a lot to defend. He will also being playing a challenger in the Netherlands with Luczak and Klein the week after, so another good chance for some more points.
