Very enjoyable match!

WOW, Nicolas! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Glad to see him back, as I really love his game when he's on. Beating an opponent ranked 50 places higher, no little feat! :hatoff:

Tipsy...  hopefully better luck in Cincy!

Didn't see this one coming! A tough match yes, but I and the other 88% of betters at bet365 obviously bet on the wrong horse. Mahut played quite well. Awww Tipsy!

Awesome Mahut. One of the best performances I've seen this year. Incredible serving, but his baseline play was astounding today. He was retrieving everything and dictating rallies. Hit some huge backhands as well. I hope he can play as well as this against the Duck.

Good win for Nico :yeah:

Now it sets up a clash between my two very favorites Andy and Nico. Well... would love to watch that :)

I will never-ever trust Tipsarevic. He has not a strategy game at all.
He wins games only when he isn´t the favorite.
Mahut played well.

It was nice to see Mahut's relief when he sat down on his chair after he won, just sitting there. Obvious meant a lot to him after his horrible season.

Not the result I was expecting.

Does anyone know how the court speed in Toronto compares to Montreal?

A British poster further back in this thread saw the match, I was wondering what channel/feed they were getting it.

A Serbian player is knocked out? Tennis has good days.. it seems.

They're pretty much identical. The courts used to play much quicker, but now they play slow-medium paced all depending on the weather.

All TMSs are live on the betting sites betfair and bet365. Two courts for Toronto.

Good stuff from Mahut, interesting to see once again that Tipsarevic is more efficient as the underdog in a match.

Seems to be his big problem - not a good front runner at all.

I think it was a post match interview from Wimbledon that I read. He admitted himself that he plays better when he's not expected to win. He brings his A game against big players. Against players that he thinks he can beat, he doesn't play so well.

Mahut actually played pretty good but I don't know what the hell is wrong with Janko he only wins when he is not supposed to and loses when he is supposed to win. :retard;

Well done Mahut :woohoo: Best of luck against Roddick. Seemed like a close match, wished I could have watched it. Bad luck Tipsy

Indeed, a very nice game by Mahut. It really surprised me, very solid not only at S&V but also from the baseline. I'm looking forward to watching his match against Roddick.

Janko didn't play that bad, either. Good on the 2nd but failed at important points in the 3rd.

wish it hadn't happened but I think Roddick would have given him a beating in revenge. This way he played well and got points on the board.
