A tight third set for Verdasco. Was up two breaks, choked a little, went to tiebreak but was able to close it out. Congratz Verdasco! :D

Funny third set, Verdasco was *3:0 (40-0) then Andreev 6:5 (15-0).
Poor Andreev, three matches against Verdasco and three tight defeats, still strugles with final set tie-break...

He made that hard for himself but got it done in the end - congrats Nando.

Choked a little? To be fair Andreev played really well at times, nice match in total, so glad Nando came through in the end.

Andreev won three titles in 2005, and hasn't won a title since...two finals in two weeks isn't bad though, it's better than 15 consecutive QFs.

Such a talented player, if he only had a bit more guts. How do you get mental strength, do you become a Tibetan monk or something? :D

Great match, great atmosphere, Fernando choked badly but Andreev played well too after a sloppy start in the 3rd. Highly entertaining! :yeah:

About time he got his second title, that's for sure.

Really makes it hard for himself but he has been much more consistent lately.

He got his best ever ranking at 13 I think a couple of weeks ago and this one will give him another boost as well.

:D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the few ATP players I care about finally gets a good result. Not the biggest title, but it's something.

if he does make the top ten, he deserves it slightly more than without a title.

Very proud of you, Fernando. Keep this up.

Are you always this clueless? Andreev made the semis in Gstaad 07, so your maths is out again.

A rare case (for me) with two favs facing each other in a final, great to see Nando confirming his recent solid form with winning the tournament. Igor did well in the tournament, seeing where he is right now is positive compared with the disaster that was shaping up for him at the beginning of the year.
