The most shameful loss in Tursunov's career.
Seriously, it's even worse than Safin losing to Whitehouse :tape:

Whitehouse was pretty damn good on grass. And horrible on any other surface. Wonder what happened to him

Now Simon has almost the same nuber of tournament wins as Gasquet (4 vs 5). Pretty good for a "pusher"

Tursunov must goto the Chris Guccione tennis academy.

Lol! You can't put those two in the same sentence mate. Tursunov has "talent" (but is too brainless to use it) while Guccione is just a 100% pure mug.

Simon was just too solid...not a lot more that one can say. :bigclap:

BTW Tursunov and Simon seem to be Mickey Mouse kings. Both have gathered the least amount of points from obligatory tournaments from within top30 in the last 52 weeks, yet both are pretty high in the rankings.

Nice one Bloggerman!

How long is it going to take before someone steps it up and breaks this Simon? 70 mph second serve returns are just being dumped into the net. The guy does nothing and people are just giving him W's. Absolutely pathetic!

Bucharest and Casablanca were MM titles, yes, clearly.
His victory in Marseille wasn't.
As for his win in Indianapolis, he beat Mahut, Becker, Haas, Querrey, Tursunov on US hardcourt, it's a very decent performance, none of them was a "bye" like it happens so often in real MM tournaments.

Great match from him today. :yeah: I'm very surprised myself by his record in finals. 4 finals won in a row, that's quite impressive.

Yeah, Gilles is one of the most agressive and exciting players out there. :)

I like Gilles, even though he can be a real pusher at times, I admit...But who cares, you still have to :worship: him that he is able to win these matches and be a top 30 player.

its a good thing when not always the bigger and more powerful player wins,at least Simon uses his brain in a tennis court not just hit the ball as hard as you can.

A bleak time for tennis.

They will have to put an asterix alongside the title winners name to donate that it was won in a mug era.

leng jai

There are already asterixes besides Fedmug's 12 slams and rightly so.

Dima was hillarious :haha: On the end he tried to moonball by himself :rolls:

I admit, that clip is showing a real pushing, but I have seem him several times hitting clean winners with his backhand, remember a match against Canas once last year.

Simon filosofy: If you can win a match with safe pushing, why going for winners? Let your opponent selfdestruct :)

It's not clever play letting Tursunov beat himself, it's just normal and any other player not called Federer would play that way.

Pretty funny that he's now won the same number of titles as Sebastien Grosjean.

10 active players that have won less titles than G. Simon:

Verdasco
Berdych
Wawrinka
Stepanek
Ancic
Andreev
Baghdatis
Soderling
Calleri
Kohlschreiber
