This might be a silly question, but won't Nadal be the number 1 seed now that he's officially the world number 1? Or have the seeds been decided already?

I think that Federer is still seeded first and Rafa second, because as they do for the places in the main draw they take the rankings as they were one month before the event!! But I could be wrong!!

Can somebody expain me what guidelines the draw must follow???
Is for example predefined that the number 1 seed and the number 8 seed are in the some quarter (2 and 7, 3 and 6, 4 and 5) or is it just random. Because I think it is predefined that the number 1 seed and the number 4 seed will clash in the semi-finals as well as the number 2 and 3 seed!
Would be very happy if someone would enlighten me!!

After the 1 and 2 seeds are placed at the top and bottom of the draw, the other seeds are bucketed into groups.

Seeds 3 and 4 in one bucket.
5 to 8 in one bucket
9 to 12 in one bucket
13 to 16 in one bucket
17 to 24 in one bucket
25 to 32 in one bucket

For example there is no added benefit from being a 3 seed or a 4 seed as you can be placed in the top or bottom half of the draw.
Hope that helps.
