Checking the official ATP data fro Tour cite..

Federer, 185/88,
Nadal, 185/85,
Djokovic 187/80
Safin 194/88

I am very confused by Federer's numbers.. Safin is 4 inches taller and same weight? Roger has always looked perfectly fit.. not a pund of extra weight.. Now , I am 188/89, and I happen to think that I have few extra kilos in terms of good fitness.. To me, Djokovic and Safin's numbers are kinda of OK for a typical tennis build.. Rafa's number, kind of fine , given his elevated upper body muscle mass.. But Roger's?

If you think this is confusing, you haven't checked out the Alternative Universe known as the WTA's stats on players' height and weight. . .

yeah it was VERY shocking to learn that Fed is 88 kg...those must be some very dense muscles.......

I don't see anything as outrageous over there.. Any examples?

Sharapova is supposed to be 60 kg and so is Serena Williams

Fed isn't that heavy, unless that's the average weight of Mirka+ Fed.

A lot of doubts if we talk about weight... We can't take the height seriously because it changes many times throughout a season.

Great potential to be a new service king despite pathetic weight :yeah:

The thing is, Roger recently said (VERY recently) that his weight is actually 88 kg, that seems wrong to me, but he stated his media guide (80 kg) was wrong, so apperantly someone listened to the man and changed it.

However, I don't think Rafa and Roddick updated their guide since their first year on tour, Rafa was what? 16 when he turned pro? Those numbers aren't right.

Black Adam has provided the best of the lot, which is the weight of Serena Williams (if by "Serena Williams", you mean only her left leg).

Federer wasn't that weight like 2 weeks ago, he looks thinner now than he has in like 2006...

well, it all depends on the source, which proves how reliable the sources at hand are:

If you check their profiles on eurosport.com, them most of them are taller and/or slimer:

Federer 1.87m/80 kg

Novak 1.90m/75 kg (compared to 1.87/80 from the atp site)

Safin 1.95m/81kg (this weight has to be a mistake: Safin is rather skinny nowadays, but he can't be that skinny...)

Rafa 1.85/85 (the same figures in both websites)

Safin is 1m94 at best not 1m95. 1m93 seems to be the most reliable.

The perfect combination. A big serve, quick movement and left-handed. Shame about nationality, probably got the choking too. :o ;)
