Federer's bag.

I noticed that he always carries two bags to the court. One is the necessary Wilson racquet bag, and the other one is some unknown (presumably Nike) bag that probably is not necessary to play tennis.

I wonder what is in that big bag? He is the only male player to do this, and I don't think he can't complete a match without that bag. For me, it is kind of annoying, because it's weird to see a guy to carry a bag like that (usually, only women carry fancy bags, no?).

I know Sharapova / Williams carry extra fancy bag to the court, but for a guy, is it worth the hassle to carry another big bag to the court??

I don't like it. Can't he just keep everything simple like Sampras?

well I can only guess...
maybe he's obliged as this is part of a contract?

I don't think the o.p watches a lot of tennis because some other players do. It's usually a contract from the racket and apparel sponsors. It's not unique to Fed this 2 bag thing.

Yes, because it's fabulous. Deal with it.

He carries a Mini-Mirka and if he makes mini-Mirka angry then she causes boils on his face.

It's been explained already... :o

Why can't u not be rude or sarcastic in your replies? The thread opener is just curious and hasn't watche much tennis. Why can't we gve each other the benifit of the doubt? No one needs to answer me, because I know that on GM rudeness and sarcasm rules. This kind of attitude is chasing lot of people away from posting. Where I live people are polite and even if u accidentally bump into someone they smile back if you smile at them. It's really a shame.

Nah, mini-Mirka is carried inside Mirka's body, which explains her physique.

He has a sackful of bagels. You see, in 2005/06 he gave them out far too much to players ranked 5 and over, so these days.. he keeps them in check. Gives them out time to time.

Ali, I think you are overreacting for a bit, here. Nobody is actually insulting the OP, but it isn't that far off to make a bit of fun of this post over here - of course nobody knows what Feds is carrying along in that bag, as it's most obviously his private property...

The other one is for his accessories. Different headbands, writstbands, extra panties...who knows. As if tennis wasn't gay enough. Those guys need to cut out all that cuteness.

Nadal has one too, and in a recent interview I think he said something about shoes and clean clothes or some silly stuff like that. Who cares, maybe Roger has all three silver trays from RG there, in case he makes a party, so he can serve some snacks.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. It's not necessary to be sarcastic to have fun. Having fun at someone else's expense seems to be the order of the day on MTF GM.

I'm sure Rafa has brought along his two Wimbly Cookie plates as well. Should both of them reach the final, I'd really like to see both of them offering snacks to the crowd during changeovers.

Had you taken the time to read through the thread, you would have found out that Rafa, just to name one, often carries along a second bag as well.

Oh wait... you are hinting at 'something else'?

What's so wrong with beautiful, talented men coming across a mite feminine, as you put it??? I can't see it to be honest. :wavey:

Here's a picture of Tsonga who's also carrying an extra bag in addition to the racquet bag. There's probably other players who have carried a second bag with them on court as well but I don't feel like looking for pictures at the moment

I know at Wimbledon Roddick had a 2nd bag too.
I had a pic of him carrying it but can't find it...not entirely feminine but that is not his personality (as fed:angel: ) it is still a 2nd bag.

Sometimes you need stuff.
Sometimes you just want to have stuff.

I just don't understand why some people find it so off-putting when men allow their feminine sides to 'shine'.

As for me, I love it. I crave it. There is a good reason for me to love Roger as much as I do, aside from his fantastic tennis, and that's his genuine and open-hearted personality - including his ability to indeed show these 'tongue-in-cheek'-jabs at people. Rogi! :worship: :worship: :worship:
