I'm not sure if this deserves a new thread, but I wasn't sure where to put it. Feel free to merge it with the appropriate topic, if one exists.

You see? He CAN smile, in fact he does it a lot off court!

A nice interview, I thought. I know I'm prejudiced, but I would hope there is nothing in there that the haters can twist. . .:)

If he's not saying "I play very well on clay so I very thankful for that, no?" then it's JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH

;)

Oh yeah, I forgot it was a Nadal fan who was criticizing him. Can someone summarize the interview for me? I don't have sound on this computer and I would have to go on my dad's laptop to hear it.

And I hoped for some kind of fan written joke interview. :( ;)

Is that video restricted to british IP addresses? I gave up after 3 mins of loading (FF 3.0).

Oh yeah, I forgot it was a Nadal fan who was criticizing him. Can someone summarize the interview for me? I don't have sound on this computer and I would have to go on my dad's laptop to hear it.

-He says the USO used to be his fav tournament, but missing it last year and seeing his brother winning, kind of changed his opinion of it.

-He talks about Santoro saying, he's a good match-up for him but he plays a very special game so he'll have to be pretty agressive and try to shorten the points. Henman then says it feels like playing against a lefty sometimes.

-He talks about his wimbledon seeding, saying wimbledon should do like all the other tournaments and keep the normal rankings but ultimately he was lucky to be seeded 12 even though he missed it last year.

-Henman asks him about how much he's looking forward to it finally starting. Andy says he finally has a home nearby which is nice. He also says that his goal is to win the tournament, he knows getting to the quarters or semis would be a good result anyway but he doesn't want to lose 4th round and be happy with it

-Henman then comments on the weather saying it's pretty crappy given that they're in the middle of the summer and asks Andy about the conditions. Andy says the courts feel quicker, even though he hasn't practice on center court, but the balls get bigger after a while so it slows down.

-Henman asks him about being virtually the only brit playing now that he and Greg aren't there anymore. Andy laughs and answers that it doesn't feel very different, and that expectations are pretty much the same.

-He says his fav part of the tournament is playing on center court with that great atmosphere, and the worse is the build up and the media requirements but it's OK once it starts.

-He talks about his book and whether he has any superstitions, he says he prefers not to have any (then laughs and apologizes for giving a dull answer :spit:) so it doesn't throw him off a little bit when something changes.

Henman then thanks him saying it was his first interview, Andy asks him how it was and Tim says he's a "fairly easy subject"

wimbledons never going to be the same now...Yep, so true

there was nothing like watching Henman make epic 5 set struggles out of matches he should have easily been winning

and then actually playing better and making a good match out of the players who should have beaten him easier, like the Sampras Semis

He practiced at Wimbledon last year, but more probably is talking about the DC match he played there last September.

Nice interview. What I was wondering all the time, why did they change the size of the ball? To please the viewers or in fact to slower it down?

Why would anyone want to hear Andrew Murray speaking?

His speaking voice is quite nice. But then again maybe one just needs to :hearts: those sort of accents ;)

The real story here is the first-time interviewer muttering and butting-in all over Andy's answers. You've got a lot to learn Timmy

Becuase his performance this year in Wimbledon will be so devastating that it will make the grass on centre court permanently stop growing. Wimbledon tournament will have to call it quits and 2008 will remain the last Wimbledon ever

I lasted 30 seconds of henman going "hmmm" and "Yeah" constantly as murray was speaking and had to turn it off.
