Murray easily. Fabrice will entertain as usual, but doesn't have the legs anymore.

I'm looking forward to this, after their match in Paris last year.

oh I so wish Santoro could pull it off, wouldn't that be wonderful :o

unfortunately that isn't likely to happen, but I expect to be entertained

fabrice will dice him up. allez fabrice

fabrice will dice him up. allez fabrice

How can your hatred for a player lead you to be so deluded? It'll be an entertaining match, but Santoro really has very little chance at this stage in his career. Surely you realise that.

Can't believe how many votes Santoro is getting, people can't be serious.

This is a nice easy start for Murray, it would be a massive shock if he doesn't win.

It's a measure of how hated Murray is :D

Obviously he knows Santoro is old and hasn't got much left in him but I hope, I hope that he can beat Murray...Or take 1 or 2 sets off him.

No, it's a measure of how loved Santoro is. :worship:

But yes sadly, Fabrice has little chance of winning this match. I think this will be Fab's 1st time on Centre Court as a singles player. I really hope Fab gives a good account of himself.

Murray easily.

Allez

Santoro should be doting on his grandchildren now. This is getting old (no pun intended). Murray is going to run him all over the place and there is a guaranteed bagel in there somewhere. I hope Murray has fun with this and tries a few things out. It is all but impossible for him to lose.

Should be a solid win for Murray. unfortunately Santoro has become a gatekeeper now due to his age.

Grandchildren at 35? You must start families early in your household.

Murray is one of the best players on grass (Murray, 2008). Santoro doesn't stand a chance.

Andy won their one previous match 6-4 6-2 at the Paris Masters last year.

I can't believe both brothers meet Fabrice round 1 in singles and doubles! Dilema! I really wanted Santoro to do well, but obviously we have so little chance to do well here that I need to support the Brits! It makes me sad.

But still, very excited!

That said, Murray in 3.

Found on the Mirror site:

Why must we support Andy Murray at Wimbledon?

Wimbledon starts today, so please explain to me one more time why the hell I am meant to support Andy "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" Murray.

Isn't he the chippy chap who wanted anyone to beat England in the last World Cup?

I hope some 12-year-old Serb takes the sunny smile off his handsome face.

 Novak's brother perhaps?

It's remarkable that some idiots still don't realise that the "anyone but England comment" was a joke.

You got a link to the page, so I can have a read?

Edit: found it.

Thought the article would say more. How can anyone be so ignorant? It's not like the context of Murray's comments haven't been talked about countless times since it happened. Willful ignorance is something I can't stand. If you're going to be a journalist, you should really learn to do some reasearch.
