Groth is hardly a mug, he's bringing S+V back after all ;)

Why did Tipsi play the qualifying in this tournament?

Why did Tipsi play the qualifying in this tournament?

Because he was a late entry and could not get a wildcard.

I saw Samuel Groth play on Tuesday, June 3rd (its seems so long ago). He lost to Jan-Michael Gambill in 3 sets on a mediumish hard court at the Yuba City challenger. JMG said it was the biggest serve he had ever faced so I can imagine it was a tougher challenge on grass for Janko.

Tipsy must still be down from the way he just bent over for Nole at Queens, it was embaressing.

Embarrassing...and embarrassing again. At least at something he's consistent.

It's all serve Groth on grass. I expected Janko to have a tough time when he was on.

Yes:) I watched the match, and Groth was like Karlovic was out there. Tipsy just couldn't get anything going on return, the tie-break his serving was particularly demoralising for Tipsy. He was so stunned he never recovered his composure. Currently Groth is 4 spots out of qualifying draw for Wimbledon, I think the rest of the qualifiers may be pretty glad on this performance.

Good prospect I think. And I might add he treated the officials with great respect and politeness, the ballkids were having a difficult day, it was hot out there. Very admirable:)
