Dimitra 06-13-2008, 03:01 PM Well done Federer but also good job Markos!:) Very nice match. dark_ambient 06-13-2008, 03:01 PM Solid win from the Emperor of Grass. :haha: He's adjusting some shots and he'll be on his way for the number 6 mark. Bow before the Emperor of Grass you infidels! :worship: Art&Soul 06-13-2008, 03:02 PM Good job NINJA, keep invicible on grass :) HNCS 06-13-2008, 03:04 PM thoroughly enjoyed a match between two of my favourite players. Good luck to Baghdatis for Wimbledon!!!! and 57 in a row for Roger. ONWARDS HeretiC 06-13-2008, 03:08 PM Maybe I got up on wrong foot today, expected much more in this match. Black Adam 06-13-2008, 03:12 PM Way to go JesusFed! :yeah: luzkoz 06-13-2008, 03:12 PM Good match by Roger :) Kolya 06-13-2008, 03:13 PM I'm shocked! tennizen 06-13-2008, 03:14 PM Maybe I got up on wrong foot today, expected much more in this match. Baggy is kind of useless now. I had a tiny bit of hope for a good match but as soon as Baggy got broken in the first set I knew it was going to be pretty straightforward. elessar 06-13-2008, 03:16 PM Baggy is kind of useless now. I had a tiny bit of hope for a good match but as soon as Baggy got broken in the first set I knew it was going to be pretty straightforward. Genius is never straightforward you little miscreant :( tennizen 06-13-2008, 03:20 PM Genius is never straightforward you little miscreant :( I was only talking from Baggy's perspective. We both know that the result is not likely to change even if Baggy played 10 times better than he did today. I never forget how good Federer is;). Daniel 06-13-2008, 03:22 PM Well done wonderful Roger :worship:  elessar 06-13-2008, 03:23 PM I was only talking from Baggy's perspective. That's better :worship: dam0dred 06-13-2008, 03:29 PM Nice match. Roger just looks so much crisper off the clay. And aside from that it's just such a pleasure to watch grass court tennis. Clay really is for pigs. :) Haile Selassie 06-13-2008, 03:29 PM Congrats Roger. habibko 06-13-2008, 03:44 PM great win from Fed, next is good ol' Kiefer  Corey Feldman 06-13-2008, 04:31 PM more points in the bag more tears about the points from Nadal fans and Serbian fangirls like Farenhajt i suspect Fedex 06-13-2008, 04:32 PM Shocking result. HarryMan 06-13-2008, 04:50 PM Keep going Roger, keep going :sport: jcempire 06-13-2008, 04:55 PM win streak on grass to 57 RogerFan82 06-13-2008, 05:20 PM Never in doubt. ChinoRios4Ever 06-13-2008, 06:25 PM unstoppable this Mr. grass :yeah: Marcos  MacTheKnife 06-13-2008, 06:48 PM I'm a FedFan and 4 & 4 over Baghdatis is not that impressive. Fed better start pulling it together a little quicker than this. Yes, he is winning, but if his game was where it should be, he'd be rolling over some of these guys. luie 06-13-2008, 07:03 PM It's a solid win...BUT I hope he has a harder test in the finals against Philipp ( if all goes well)b/c playing blake on grass is useless @ best,,or a false sense of confidence @ worst. At least baggy made the finals last year & plays tough @ SW-19. Manon 06-13-2008, 07:07 PM Federer will win this title. I don't see anyone will and can kick his ass. Noone. dam0dred 06-13-2008, 09:57 PM I'm a FedFan and 4 & 4 over Baghdatis is not that impressive. Fed better start pulling it together a little quicker than this. Yes, he is winning, but if his game was where it should be, he'd be rolling over some of these guys. I think we need to start accepting that that Federer is gone, likely for good. rofe 06-13-2008, 10:15 PM I'm a FedFan and 4 & 4 over Baghdatis is not that impressive. Fed better start pulling it together a little quicker than this. Yes, he is winning, but if his game was where it should be, he'd be rolling over some of these guys. I guess you are being sarcastic (it is hard to figure that out on the internet). Fed has always struggled in the early rounds and that coupled with Baggy's more than decent performance means that Fed's game is fine on grass until now. jasmin 06-13-2008, 10:23 PM I don't get it. This was a good win for Fed. I know Marcos has been injured but is he really a pushover? Roger won in straight sets against someone who is pretty good on grass. He was a semifinalist at Wimby last year (lost to Djokovic) in a 5 set battle.. Sunset of Age 06-13-2008, 10:25 PM Marcos is no push-over. I think I can judge, as I've seen his matches in Halle in person. Too bad I couldn't watch this one. Well done Rogelio - Roll The Bones! :tennis:  Manon 06-13-2008, 10:42 PM Marcos is no push-over. I think I can judge, as I've seen his matches in Halle in person. You:) JediFed 06-13-2008, 10:46 PM He lost 8 games again! Get it together Fed! ranaldo 06-13-2008, 10:50 PM Fed's footwork is still really average, he often attacks the net too early instead of waiting for his opponent to be on the backfoot and then hit an approach shot. i expect a 3 setter against Kiefer, don't know who'll win this one. rosamunda 06-13-2008, 11:09 PM I'm a FedFan and 4 & 4 over Baghdatis is not that impressive. Fed better start pulling it together a little quicker than this. Yes, he is winning, but if his game was where it should be, he'd be rolling over some of these guys. Well, I think that 4 & 4 over Baggy IS quite impressive, actually. Baggy's a mercurial character who blows hot and cold, and can be a danger on any given day if he blows hot. From what I saw of the match, he played pretty well, but Fed controlled it and him all rather nicely. I'm not sure what you were expecting - 0 & 0? 2 & 1? MacTheKnife 06-13-2008, 11:32 PM Well as always, there are a lot of various opinions on how Fed is playing. As for my expectations, no I do not expect 0 & 0 or 2 & 1, but some more convincing wins better come along at some point if he is really going to regain his confidence, which has obviously been somewhat shaken this year. I personally still don't think he's 100% physically yet. I knew a guy that had mono and it took him 4 to 6 months to get totally 100% again. Guess we'll just see how this year progresses. As for Baghdatis, he's not exactly tearing it up this year, he's 9-7, and is not exactly full of confidence himself. Sunset of Age 06-14-2008, 12:14 AM All of mu cash is up to Roger now. This was a good win for Fed. I know Marcos has been injured but is he really a pushover? Roger won in straight sets against someone who is pretty good on grass. He was a semifinalist at Wimby last year (lost to Djokovic) in a 5 set battle.. Semi finalist in 06.;) The djokovic Battle was last year in the quarter finals. Still not an excuse..Marcos could have produced a much better performance. I expect at least 4th round at Wimby, if he is given a decent draw. Merton 06-14-2008, 03:19 AM Solid win for Roger and a good week here for Marcos. Knightmace 06-14-2008, 04:00 AM Keep the streak alive! groundstroke 06-14-2008, 10:22 AM How was Federer's backhand? Still shit? Eden 06-14-2008, 04:05 PM I don't get it. This was a good win for Fed. I know Marcos has been injured but is he really a pushover? Roger won in straight sets against someone who is pretty good on grass. He was a semifinalist at Wimby last year (lost to Djokovic) in a 5 set battle.. Marcos was also in the final of Halle last year. He knows how to play on grass. Beside this he is now coached by Peter Lundgren, who surely could give him some extra infos on Roger ;) It was a nice match to watch at live at the stadium. Some great rallies between them. Roger was much more focused in this match compared to his match against Vacek and the movement was better. jasmin 06-14-2008, 04:34 PM Marcos was also in the final of Halle last year. I don't get why some expect Roger to walk over Marcos. Even Roger thinks Marcos is a threat. I like Marcos and I expect him to do well if not injured, | |
