Not a good performance by Fed.

He looked like he wanted to be somewhere else.

good serve from Fed and many UEs on return, meets winner of Santoro/Baghdatis, should be a very interesting and fun match either way (ESPECIALLY if it's Santoro :worship: )

Great serving, poor everything else basically.

Federer played a good match on his serve.
He made a lot of UE on the returning games but got the needed breaks at the end of both sets.

Dear oh dear, that was painful to watch. And for how long has Rog planned on bringing Higueras along?

Not the best performance but who cares? It was only his second match on the lovely grass this year, so...;)

taking so long to break the #350 player in the world is definitely not a good sign hehe :(

Yeah I don't see Fed being all there but really how does he feel right after the french.

Fed was once the king of 1st serve returns. Lately he sucks at that department. And judging by the stats. He continues to suck at that.

That was a little painful to watch, but hasn't he always "struggled", played close matches in Halle over the years?

i have to say, this was the expected result. Fed, in Halle, against a low-ranked player that he plays for the first time, early rounds... in fact i was expecting a tie-breaker that didn't happen so he did better than I thought

56 in a row. ONWARDS ROGER

He has had a lot of very close matches in Halle.

Dirty or clean he's doing what he needs to do to get back on track.

Kudos to him even if he sucks and Mirka is fat (just in case anyone thinks I'm going sweet on Fed).

swiss loss must be affecting him...

Right. He'll be king of Halle again, without a doubt. It's allowed to have a bad day.

I think fed is trying to get his offence ability back. Remember those horrible UEs he makes in the FO.

Well he needs to get his footwork back before he can get his offense going on...

Who cares? Federer didn't play great because he didn't need to play great. He'll step it up as the opponents get better.

Fed can do better than that.

But keep on moving Fed!
