I was expecting a score kinda like their meeting in 2005 (63 76)it still was easier and Karlovic just lose 4 points with service (8%)

it should be interesting if Nadal beats Nishikori

Ivo could beat Nadal, with the score something like 7-6 6-7 6-3

If Ivo serves like today, there isn't nobody in this world who can actually cause problems on his service games in grass!

79% 1st serves in! How do you return Karlovic's serves on grass like that?

i dont know how the hell Clay Monster is going to return his serve. tough scenario. it is still too early for Nadal. he needs more time on grass.

i was hoping for Gonzo to take out karlovic but i knew it was not going to happen.

it is going to be fun for sure

not so fast Nadal has to beat Nikishori first. Nikishori is not old jonas bjorkman. he is upcoming youngster. Until then don't jinx the match up. ;)

38% of points won for Gonzo, on GRASS, it is just pathetic. But I´m not complaining, nice cash in pocket and Nadal - Karlo looks very interesting match indeed, if Rafa will not tank to get extra rest days in Majorca before Wimbledon.

Wow, only four return points won by Gonzalez.

This sets up a likely QF with Nadal. Should be interesting.

Solid win as expected. Ivo backed up his 3 break of serve performance from 1st round with a 2 break of serve performance against a strong server. Very impressive grass form. However I think Ivo will need to win some tie breakers if he's going to be Nadal on grass. It could be an interesting match and would be a great win for Ivo, his 1st over one of the big 3.

If Karlovic serves like that the best possible outcome is two tie breaks. Will be difficult for Nadal to win if Ivo can keep it up.

Karlovic will most likely win, because the Quarters is where Nadal likes to go out in this tournament. He gets his 3 matches worth of practice (plus one doubles match), and then he goes home for a few days. He's done it the past 2 years, and it's worked well for him. I'd be shocked if anything different occurred this year.

This is all assuming Rafa will even make it the Quarters, of course. He may not.

When serves well Ivo is unstopable. Tough I don't like this kind of tennis.

Just been mentioned on the BBC how this match concluded:

At 5-6, presumably after Gonzalez had been broken he was given a warning for ball abuse, and then was docked a point for subsequent racquet abuse. Then, he did some more ball abuse, and so docked a game for doing so, thus giving the match to Karlovic

:( Fena

Seems Karlovic's serve was very frustrating to Fernando hence the ball/raquet abuse. While I understand his frustration, he has to control it a bit-loosing a match on a penalty is not acceptable-and I sure he knows that-can you imagine the look Larry must have had??? (Ivo very well may have won even without it but Fena should not have handed it to him like that. ) Sorry Fernando, you're one of my favs but this was a no no.

I would consider Karlovic a possible dark horse at Wimbledon.

Rafa's in a dogfight right now. He won 1st set 6-4, and is on serve down 1-2 in second.. This kid looks pretty damn good. I had only see him beat Blake before this match.

LONDON, June 12 (Reuters) - Chile's Fernando Gonzalez forfeited his third round clash with Ivo Karlovic at Queen's Club on Thursday after incurring a game penalty at 6-5 down in the second set.

Gonzalez, the 10th seed, was warned for ball abuse in the first set and then docked a point for smashing his racket in anger after losing his serve at 3-4 in the opener.

When Gonzalez abused a ball again after losing his serve in the 11th game of the second set umpire Les Maddock issued a game penalty, effectively handing the match to giant Croat Karlovic.

Tournament organisers could not confirm whether Gonzalez would be fined for the incident.

Gonzo simply can handle big servers :o

he beat roddick in superfast vienna track in 2006.
also in athens 2004 and cininatti 2002.

beat sampras in miami 2002. ;)

But he is mental midget and choke artist. otherwise he should atleast won some TMS events and a GS event.

True. And he don't have the mental power to handle with that, he simply gives up against that type of players.

the 3 wins over Roddick were close, in Cincy Gonzo played one of the best matches of his carrer, in Athens Roddick played bad and in Vienna Roddick didnt play his best and Feña took adv.

Sampras didnt know Gonzo till that day, that's why Feña killed him because Pete didnt expected to face that kind of game.

Gonza Truba plisss stop breaking racquets :o
