I was expecting Fognini to retire today since he was complaining about shoulder injury
Fognini made 2 aces in a row to go 40-15 then Rochus quit. I wonder if he could have waited another point :o

Typical Chris :p . But okay he played a lot last weeks and I think he wants to be fit for Wimbledon Qualy

I talked to him in Zagreb after his win in the semis, seems a nice guy, down to earthy I would say....

Rochus must've backed himself on betfair for some extra dough and decided to get the bet voided.

Yes ^! I dont understand what a loser could retire like that , let him serve one point and dont touch the ball , isnt that hard .

that's what I thought, Fognini made 2 aces before the retirement, he could have made a few more steps and then let the ball go past him another time

I don't understand why he should do that ?
A loss 5/4 40/15 or 6/4 doesn't change anything for him...
Same for Fognini.
It's not like if it was 6/4 5/4 40/15 which would have been made to spoil the victory.

Agree,if he won a more point anyway the win was going to be by retirmenet, no much difference.

This fucking Rochus is at it again   Last he retired on an opponent's match point and now he retires on a set point. The guy is simply a disgrace to the sport. I mean for fuck sakes what did it cost him to just get aced and then retire??? Pathetic dwarf! He should end up in the Tennis Hall of Shame.

It´s not the first time Rochus makes sth like this, I remember a funny retirement at mp against in a match vs Koubek, looked like someone had shot him, funny guy this dwarf
