I just saw an AOL update that says Cyril is up 6-1 4-2

The update was about 33 minutes ago so Cyril may have won by now...unless it's raining again  .

Tricky_Forehand

From ATPtennis.com:

Cyril def. Jurgen 6-1 7-5

DAMN!

Jurgen was the one from the top half I wanted in the Final.

Now...one match down, two to go...till Bogie ;)

Pfffffffft stupid Jurgen!!! my accumulator bet is over already now

Frooty_Bazooty, Melzer was my first choice of today's Newport matches. But after checking his record at Wimbledon, I just dropped him. Quite a dissappointing record. I don't know why you chose him. Any particular reason?

Masto22

Popp score?

Neely
07-09-2004, 05:30 PM
damn it, Melzer lost!!! :banghead: :banghead:

just another prove that he is not back in form yet. Otherwise he should be able to overcome Saulnier on any surface of the world.

he had his greatest form between the Boca Raton Challenger and St. Pölten, then had troubles with his shoulder, he went to doctors if he needed shoulder surgery or not and he didn't find his form on grass anymore

good luck, Jürgen, for the rest of the season, I hope you recover!

He reached the final here last year. Also, he won both his first 2 matches in straight sets and Cyril struggled though in 3 in both of his

Yay Alex!!!!! (popp) Win your first title!!! :bounce:
yes, that could be his biggest chance of his life to get a title!

just think it over, Popp so far completely sucked on all other ATP surfaces except grass!

Now he has made the semifinal and it's not often during a grass tournament that there is not Roddick, Federer, Grosjean, Clément, T. & J. Johansson, Henman left in the draw

Danger is everywhere looming, but the big names don't compete in this tournament and the higher seeds (Melzer, Blake, Spadea, Carraz, Gambill etc.) are already eliminated

Frooty_Bazooty

yes, that could be his biggest chance of his life to get a title!

Yep, this is his best chance to get a title. He doesnt have too many opportunities left considering the shortness of the grass court season and the fact he is 28. Also, he should be well capable of beating Saulnier and possibly Rusedski. I really hopes he does it

exactly, Rusedski is very dangerous
Dupuis can also be a crafty guy from time to time, playing well on fast conditions

A.Popp have a good chance beat Saulnier at semi-final.

Tricky_Forehand
07-09-2004, 06:30 PM
exactly, Rusedski is very dangerous

Dupuis is losing today so that won't be a problem.

Not surprised that Alexander beat Vince so easy. Vince was going to need to be at 100% to beat Alexander because he seems to be playing very well.

No update on AOL from Rusedski vs. Morrison. Go Jeff!!!

I hope you're right, that would mean that Bogie gets one more win!

anyone know Greg Rusedski match score?
no, you probably won't get anything to know until the match is finished :tape:  ... that's how things are going in tournaments like Scottsdale, Houston Claycourt Championships and Newport :o :banghead: :banghead:

if your watching the bogomolov match, can you please post regular score here :)

Tricky_Forehand
07-09-2004, 08:24 PM
I'm not watching it. I'm calling for updates.

And the fact that you probably bet real money on this match in hopes to make a profit doesn't exactly make me have an urgency to post the result.

I like to post the result for those with no other interest than for whoever they want to win.

Tricky_Forehand
07-09-2004, 08:26 PM
Dupuis won the 1st set: 6-4

But Bogie leads 3-0 in the 2nd.

Tennis724,
Don't ever talk to me like that again. I was politely asking for the score. I have no bet on this match. You have made a judgement on me that is wrong and shows your ill-manners.

Tricky_Forehand
07-09-2004, 08:31 PM
Sorry, just going by seeing how you've posted in the past. I don't think I've ever seen you ask for a score unless you had a bet on it.

My apologies.

But don't ever scold me like I'm a child either. Couldn't help picturing you attempting to wag your finger at me :haha:

johnny

for your information, I am a retired sports journalist who likes to stay in touch with the scores of players I have interviewed in the past.

Tricky_Forehand
07-09-2004, 08:46 PM
You really need to relax. I'm not attacking who you are. I'm only making comments based on my personal knowledge from your previous posts that I've seen.

And if you've interviewed Bogie and wrote an article about it then I've probably read it. Not many that I haven't liked (one on NY Sports Express took some getting used to though :) ).

johnny
07-09-2004, 08:47 PM
