Auscon 06-08-2008, 03:08 PM Unbelievable Roger didn't play well but I don't think it mattered too much I feel bad for Roger, he was feeling like he was closer than ever and then Nadal throws him right back to square 1. But then I realise he's ridiculously rich and will likely win Wimbledon in a month, so no sympathy necessary :) IMO Roger doesn't need to win this one to be the best of all time - there's no shame in losing to the greatest claycourt player of alltime in 3 consecutive RG finals. The kids a monster - well done Rafa. Rogieva 06-08-2008, 03:10 PM Roger  Just not your day, again :crying2: Move onto the grass now :) Well done Rafa, total dominance once again tangerine_dream 06-08-2008, 03:10 PM No matter how much big talk and hot air Roger blows about beating Rafa at Roland Garros, he seems to be getting further and further away from him on clay. He's supposed to be the second best clay court player but Rafa made him look worse than a chump. He took him to school, beat him up, rubbed his face in the mud, gave him a wedgie and then shoved him in the gym locker. Total domination. That was unreal to watch. Rafa is positively absurd. Even Nole won more games than Roger did today. Hell, even Andy won more games when Roger annhiliated him at the Aussie Open last year. I would put Rafa's performance on that same level Roger showed at the AO, it was numinous and out of this world sublime. It was just one of those days, a match for Roger to forget and for Rafa to remember. *edit* And as usual, instead of celebrating Rafa's clay genius and his history making win, the US commentators prefer to focus on Roger and mourn for him. Losing like that sucks but still, Rafa could not have played more perfectly and they could have at least been more happy for him. :secret: Mary C. *edit again* Adding photos, because I like them. :) Benny_Maths 06-08-2008, 03:10 PM This thread has a more appropriate title. Absolute ZERO use of the slice, the topspin backhand obviously doesn't cut but Fedmug must be reading MTF and convinced he has the best single hander of all time. Definitely agree. It seemed like one of three things happened when Fed approached: (1) Rafa passed Fed. (2) Rafa lobbed over Fed. (3) Fed's volley found the net. But it's not like Fed was holding his own in the back of the court. There weren't too many instances where I thought Fed should have come up but he failed to do so. thehotstuff66 06-08-2008, 03:14 PM All i can say is Fed has nothing to be ashamed up, he got to the final and truthfully the score doesnt matter, all that matters is he lost to be the best clay court player in the world and the beatdown was expected...hell nadal was hitting winners from all over the place....Nadal deserves this trophy...Fed, i love you, i always will, and nadal, this was a great match from you.... The question isn't the result. It's the attitude on court. A player with a losing mentality can't be the GOAT. I hate Fakervic, but hell! He was down 4:6 2:6 0:3* and he fought and took the set to a tie-break. The Magician 06-08-2008, 03:21 PM Anyone criticizing Fed is retarded. You could see the drastic change in strategy in his game. He tried to come to net as much as possible, he went for winners to avoid long backhand rallies, and basically did everything in his power to prevent the same thing happening as has happened the past 3 years. Obviously, the strategy didn't work because Fed's 1st serve was off today, and Nadal was playing amazing. But after 3 tries already, you can't blame him for trying. scoobs 06-08-2008, 03:21 PM Seriously though - 4 games won. That's a good old-fashioned, take-him-behind-the-toolshed, no-holds-barred thrashing. I'm quite amused more than anything. Sorry Roger - I wanted you to win but you were so far away from it today that it's sorta funny. Lunaris 06-08-2008, 03:21 PM Expected thrashing. He needs to work harder to beat Nadal, not go for a new coach or work on volleys more, but hey, Nadal was playing superb today. Forehander 06-08-2008, 03:22 PM I never thought Federer would be humiliated in the way he did against Hewitt in US Open final. Bit hurtful to watch. Obviously, the strategy didn't work because Fed's 1st serve was off today, and Nadal was playing amazing. But after 3 tries already, you can't blame him for trying. His tactics were poor today. Come on, his net approaches were becoming Roddickesque and he didn't use the slice at all. If he wasn't so stubborn he probably would saved himself from the bagel today. enqvistfan 06-08-2008, 03:23 PM  Unfortunately, expected. Congrats to Rafa ! Was nice to see Bjorn :worship: DDrago2 06-08-2008, 03:23 PM How is it that Federer is not in tears? I am still stun at how badly he was beaten:sad: All I can say is on to the grass we go, especially Wimb hopefully he will defend and WIN his 5th title!!!!!!!!!!!! He already did it last year DhammaTiger 06-08-2008, 03:23 PM Rafa is the best. Rafa, u made me so, so happy. I was having a foot massage, because I was so nervous, and didn't watch the match. Now I am on cloud nine. There are no more superlatives to describe Rafael the Greatest. Vamos Rafa! Tnn74 06-08-2008, 03:23 PM :yeah: Mission Accomplished! :bounce: Rafa is a Clay God! :worship: :worship: :worship: Complete beat down! :woohoo:: dj_mercury 06-08-2008, 03:23 PM I'm sure you tried your best. His performance was shameful for a nr.1 of the world, no fighting spirit at all, even if the best Federer wouldn't have won against this Nadal, but there are ways and ways to loose a match, this surely wan't an appropriate one for a player like Federer. We will see how he reacts in Wimbledon, but after this performance I am really doubtful we will see Federer winning again on the english grass this year, unless he suddenly finds again his magic tennis, whose sign we saw in maybe one game today. zcess81 06-08-2008, 03:23 PM Rafa :worship: :worship: :worship: I only watched 2nd and 3rd sets, but that was unbelievable from Rafa. Just out of this world. Amazing performance. 4 years of total dominance on clay - I just don't have the words for how amazing he is. STAR - :woohoo: :woohoo: :worship:    Our concern was misplaced. Amazing win for Nadal, as expected. Unfortunately he'll get back to his feet for the rest of the season. It's like previous years for Nadal...amazing on clay...good on grass (so far)...average during HC season. Unfortunately for him, being amazing only on clay will not get him that no.1 spot. Even if he does goe to no.1 he won't stay there for very long. To be no.1 you have to be all cour player nowadays, which Nadal is not. Or Levy 06-08-2008, 03:23 PM Oh Roger, who told you to help me get to my family dinner on time? Nothing went his way today. Poor thing, that must hurt so badly, not just the defeat, but the score, too. Rafa, you are a monster, you've proven this all week - got some help today, but nevertheless, a brilliant performance. I want to rewind today, can I? moon language 06-08-2008, 03:24 PM Not good enough from Federer - but he had it coming after the first set. He needs to work harder to beat Nadal, not go for a new coach or work on volleys more, but hey, Nadal was playing superb today. At this point it doesn't look like there's anything he can do except hope for Nadal to play poorly. Naide 06-08-2008, 03:24 PM poor Roger :awww: This Rafito is good. A_Skywalker 06-08-2008, 03:24 PM vamoooooooooooooooos, Rafa is the best on clay again jcempire 06-08-2008, 03:24 PM 6-1 6-3 6-0 Oh my God What's going on ????? Nadal is amazing I still can't believe my eyes. This is the king of Clay as Roger on WIM HNCS 06-08-2008, 03:24 PM Expected thrashing. I must laugh at Wilander, McEnroe and other clowns who said how Federer had improved on clay and that this was his best chance to beat Nadal at RG. I still think that it was right to think that Federer has improved, and in fact it was logical to think he had a better chance. Being so close in Hamburg and Monte Carlo. But it's up to Roger to bring the improvement and mindset on the court, but obviously he didn't. Alvarillo 06-08-2008, 03:25 PM :worship: no words Rafa, legend! Roger  ranaldo 06-08-2008, 03:25 PM Rafa played awesome shots, totally deserved. Roger as expected tried everything that stupidass Wilander and other tennis commentators repeat over and over again :attack the net on everyball. That's why he lost the match so quickly, after being broken in that 1st set for the second time, he started not thinking clearly, he was rushed on everything. And why oh why play everyball on Nadal's backhand ?? His own backhand was quite pathetic. He's not getting in position very quickly, actually it's getting worse and worse each year against Nadal at least. Too much topspin, not enough depth... He really needs to get in shape for this one... Chiseller 06-08-2008, 03:25 PM ruthless Guga_fan 06-08-2008, 03:26 PM Yep - anyone paying attention should have guessed it would be Nadal's fairly easily. Rogi could have had a brilliant day but....it seemed unlikely based on recent experience. See how hard Djokovic had to work in the third set just to get to a tiebreak, which he still lost. You must remember that before working hard Djokovic was playing a mediocre tennis and was two breaks down and Nadal had 3:0 in the third set. After that Nole easily kept his service and always gave Rafa a hard time keeping his, broke him twice and got really near another, having a set point. I am not talking about his chances against Rafa, but its not like he killed himself just to get to a tiebreak. DDrago2 06-08-2008, 03:26 PM The question isn't the result. It's the attitude on court. Federer lacks attitude, that's known since the beggining of his carrier, that's how he is. But today he also made too many mistakes habibko 06-08-2008, 03:26 PM Unbelievable Roger didn't play well but I don't think it mattered too much I feel bad for Roger, he was feeling like he was closer than ever and then Nadal throws him right back to square 1. Without injury I can't see anyone taking this title away from him for the next half decade spot on, you put it in better words than I can now, I'm too sad  Black Adam 06-08-2008, 03:26 PM Nadal will do better on Hardcourts this year, he is trying to be more agressive than last which is already a good step in the right direction. I can't believe he only dropped 41 games, that is amazing! OrinUK 06-08-2008, 03:26 PM Do you think Fed can win Wimby again this year? Chiseller 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM and yeah, wilander is hilarious, he would get trashed by nadal as well. The Magician 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM His tactics were poor today. Come on, his net approaches were becoming Roddickesque and he didn't use the slice at all. If he wasn't so stubborn he probably would saved himself from the bagel today. I at least appreciate the effort to change up something. Since MTF knows better than Fed or his coach, what strategy should Fed be using? crude oil 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM The question isn't the result. It's the attitude on court. A player with a losing mentality can't be the GOAT. I hate Fakervic, but hell! He was down 4:6 2:6 0:3* and he fought and took the set to a tie-break. oh correct. sampras had a winning mentality against schaller and delgado on clay. listen, nadal thrashed almost everyone this tournament. Djokovic included. if this means roger isnt the GOAT, thats fine. But dont bring sampras into the equation. ive seen him choke many times and have a losing mentality when the going got tough and his serve failed him. if federer gets a beatdown like this on grass or chokes like pete when he was 2-0 on corretja, then go ahead and criticize. Bibberz 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM His performance was shameful for a nr.1 of the world, no fighting spirit at all, even if the best Federer wouldn't have won against this Nadal, but there are ways and ways to loose a match, this surely wan't an appropriate one for a player like Federer. We will see how he reacts in Wimbledon, but after this performance I am really doubtful we will see Federer winning again on the english grass this year, unless he suddenly finds again his magic tennis, whose sign we saw in maybe one game today. I think you're being too harsh. Fed isn't the most demonstrative player out there. He wins with such incredible ease most of the time and he rarely shows unbridled emotion. He is a champion and, although I'm sure he had his doubts coming into today's match, he really did try. His game plan was suspect, though. Snoo Foo 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM "It's so hard to stop him once he's on top of you." Ooof. Tankman 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM Anyone criticizing Fed is retarded. Obviously, the strategy didn't work because Fed's 1st serve was off today, and Nadal was playing amazing. But after 3 tries already, you can't blame him for trying. But still... 4 games... he won less games off Rafa than Safina won off Ivanovic :o Jaap 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM He is quite a handy player, this Nadal. Smasher 06-08-2008, 03:27 PM Great display from Nadal. Even though I don't really like him personally, you've got to admire his skill and mentality on clay :hatoff: Tommy fan 06-08-2008, 03:28 PM Wow, Federer copuldn't play worse :o  Congrats Nadal though :yeah: safin-rules-no.1 06-08-2008, 03:29 PM Fed wasn't even close.......:o :haha: arm 06-08-2008, 03:29 PM Federer:  Nadal: :worship: congratulations. And the clay season is finally over! :D Tommy fan 06-08-2008, 03:29 PM Wow, Federer copuldn't play worse :o  Congrats Nadal though :yeah: The Magician 06-08-2008, 03:30 PM C'mon people, it's called matchups. Fed's worst matchup on any surface is Nadal, and on Clay it's amplified 10 times. From the back court Fed can win 1 set, maybe 2 sets if he plays amazing. Today he learned a serve and volley game will win him no sets. Either way he can't win. His best hope is for Djokovic to take out Nadal next year or have Nadal be injured. maskedmuffin 06-08-2008, 03:30 PM nadal GOAT on clay expected result..looking forward to back part of year, roger's part of the year :) Polikarpov 06-08-2008, 03:30 PM Nadal was like a wall! safinalium 06-08-2008, 03:31 PM Legend :D I loved how mature his reaction was when he won. He's really grown-up. 28-0 HeiwaDream 06-08-2008, 03:31 PM Fantastic victory. Rafa , you are really the king of clay. I have never seen something like that before. yomike 06-08-2008, 03:31 PM Most embarrassing match of Federer's career and he had to do it in a GS final. gmokb 06-08-2008, 03:31 PM How is it that Federer is not in tears? He is so incredibly passive and no longer has any fight when things are not going his way, very sad indeed.... Sunset of Age 06-08-2008, 03:32 PM Fantastic, if not IMMACULATE performance from Rafa. :worship: :worship: :worship: Totally expected a compete beatdown today, but when Roger starts shanking about everything, this is what will happen. Painful to watch, all those terrible UEs. Rafa... what a gorgeous guy you are! No rolling in the mud this time, no overly happiness about his win - all of his presence oozed respect for his opponent. A lovely winner, and what a player indeed. :hatoff: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: People being worried about him winning this? About him equalling Borg's record? Come on. As long as Rafa will be playing RG, he'll end up as the winner, perhaps even to double digits. Best Clay Court Player EVER. :worship: :worship: :worship: Roger, please come back strong at Wimbly. Purple Rainbow 06-08-2008, 03:32 PM Congratulations to Nadal who played brilliant tennis for two weeks. Shame Federer played bloody awful, but even on a good day he wouldn't have stood a chance. I hope he can recover from this. Lunaris 06-08-2008, 03:32 PM I still think that it was right to think that Federer has improved, and in fact it was logical to think he had a better chance. Being so close in Hamburg and Monte Carlo. I didn't see any difference or improvements this year. If anyone has improved it's Nadal. GuiroNl 06-08-2008, 03:33 PM Amazing win for Nadal, as expected. You can say this stuff after he loses to Querrey at Queen's. justClaudia 06-08-2008, 03:33 PM teh monster. congrats to his fans, better than ever. Auscon 06-08-2008, 03:35 PM Quit insane - from 28 RG matches; Only players to take a set from Rafa; Roger Federer x 3 Mariano Puerta Paul-Henri Mathieu Lleyton Hewitt Sebastian Grosjean Only players to take Rafa to a TB (losing) Lars Burgsmuller (in Rafas first RG match) Ivan Ljubicic Lleyton Hewitt Roger Federer Novak Djokovic Ok so I just wanted an excuse to throw Lleytons name in a few times, but that's just unreal, that in all those matches only 5 guys have even gotten it to a TB against him gulzhan 06-08-2008, 03:36 PM WTA's final looked more interesting :o Congrats to Rafa :woohoo: safinalium 06-08-2008, 03:36 PM I forgot to say that once AGAIN i had the feeling that the cameras showed Mirka more than Federer during the entire match :( bournerdan 06-08-2008, 03:36 PM It would have been a better final had Gonzo got there IMO.... Yeah, that's why I'll never get all of the whinage going on among some of the Rafafans. The Freak 06-08-2008, 03:37 PM This Rafa is good Manon 06-08-2008, 03:38 PM and yeah, wilander is hilarious, he would get trashed by nadal as well. And finally agreed with you. His predictions troughout the tournament were just hilarious. Well, Eurosport 'booked' Lothar as football expert, Wilander for tennis. What to say? About the final - it's all clear. Nobody at this moment can harm Nadal. cc2monac 06-08-2008, 03:38 PM congrats rafa! well deserved title! without even dropping a set! you're a real king! bournerdan 06-08-2008, 03:39 PM What has happened to Federers ability to 'really' fight though? He just seems to accept it when he's getting his ass kicked these days.... Allez 06-08-2008, 03:39 PM Unfortunately this is exactly what I predicted in the Poll thread. I called it Roger's "most comprehensive" defeat at the hands of Nadal to date. I wasn't faer off. Roger won one less game than I thought he would. He is so over and I do hope next year he will have fallen off the number 1 position so Nadal can have a different opponent in the final. Sorry Rogi, I'll always be a fan of Roger Federer 2003-2007, but it's now time for you to pull a Justine Henin. Hahaha. Harsh, but not too far from the truth. Loremaster 06-08-2008, 03:40 PM Federer has not heart to fight , when he sees he is losing he just bends over, it was pathetic how he lost at 4-0 30-0 in the third, and for those who thinks he is mentally strong :haha: I wonder how he will be back, will be rebuild it for Wimby if not he can go down fast, at least hewitt got thrashed but kept fighting, he was outplayed on court not in the head, Roger was outplayed on the court and on the mental side. :haha: and some faboys where laughing their ass off when Roddick lost to him at AO, and this much much worse lose. raven gypsy 06-08-2008, 03:40 PM :worship::worship: Rafa what a superb tournament.. didn't drop a set.. Exciting to see him tie Borg for consecutive wins. Fed fans. grass is only around the corner.. He was really classy in his interview with Jmac, giving Nadal credit for his good play today. rafa humble and sweet in his interview (as usual) :) Billy Moonshine 06-08-2008, 03:40 PM A wonderful win for Rafa and the lowkey celebration and short acceptance speech are testament to how much that win meant for him for Rafa does not believe in words words words ( see his press conferences) and will have been feeling on a high after such a beautiful performance, one where he played a perfect match. Granted, Roger did not play well, but Rafa didn`t let him. Corey Feldman 06-08-2008, 03:45 PM 'grats to Rafa for not falling on his back finally as for Fed, nothing to say about him at all. DDrago2 06-08-2008, 03:46 PM Legend :D I loved how mature his reaction was when he won. He's really grown-up. 28-0 His reaction was completely low-key. Real anti-climax tangerine_dream 06-08-2008, 03:47 PM It was great to see Borg and JMac on clay together finally. Borg looks better now than he did when he was young. Another wave of mono? Coxsackie? Mad cow disease? We'll just have to wait and see... Congrats to Rafa :bigclap: great job! rafa the best 06-08-2008, 03:48 PM Rafa didn't wanna make a big deal out of this win couse he respects Roger too much. I loved their speaches in the end, both giving credit to each other, especially Rafa. He even spoke a bit of Frech, he said in his blog he will do it. The crowd was cold as always, they don't deserve the champion like Rafa. DDrago2 06-08-2008, 03:49 PM Don't understand how Federer thinks he can win against Rafa with this kind of body language, looked a beaten man from game one IMO I also saw it - before he hit the first ball, Federer already looked stiff and subdued Scotso 06-08-2008, 03:49 PM  MissMelly2U 06-08-2008, 03:49 PM Roger's post-match speech and interview w/ Johnny Mac were all class. I don't want to boot him from the siggy anymore. I'm also amazed at how humble and disciplined Rafa remains despite his astounding successes. His parents raised him right. rofe 06-08-2008, 03:49 PM Kudos to Nadal for playing an exceptional game today. He didn't give Fed an inch and kept himself in the zone for the duration of the match. Fed simply couldn't do anything today. Congrats on RG #4 and equaling Borg's RG record. Shooze4ever 06-08-2008, 03:51 PM Well Done Rafa!!! Wonderful!!! Langers 06-08-2008, 03:51 PM Shot from Federer barely goes out, Rafa lifts his hands, no real celebration at all, MINIMAL reaction from the crowd, does a little wave to the crowd then straight to hs chair. I realised he just humiliated the world #1 but seriously, he deserved a bigger celebration like that, you earned it Rafa. And the crowd, well we know you were all behind Rog, but the man has just won his 4th consecutive FO title, deserved more applause than he got. Just real odd. Like the match I guess. It's about 45 minutes after the match finished and coverage is meant to be going for another 70 minutes. ;) Fedexex 06-08-2008, 03:52 PM Federer:rolleyes: Nadal..welldone:D Clay Death 06-08-2008, 03:52 PM It was great to see Borg and JMac on clay together finally. Borg looks better now than he did when he was young. Such a fine specimen. :hearts: you make it sound like he is a piece of prime meat. in any case, 11 unforced errors from the Clay Monster for the whole match. he played a clean, tactical match. it was methodical destruction of Fed both physically and mentally. Defense never rests.----Clay Death FNT 06-08-2008, 03:52 PM Roger... I know why Borg retired at 26. I don't think he really wants it. Nevertheless, Rafa was just a beast today - amazing match from him. He deserves it 1000%. Stgobaiano 06-08-2008, 03:53 PM Party day for the tennis. Cry Fedtards... Cry:devil: Fedex 06-08-2008, 03:53 PM Well, what can I say? Nadal was just way too good today. He's never played a better clay court match I don't think. Congrats to Nadal. He's the best and he manages to stay humble and classy too; a rare combination. :) For Federer, this was just a flat out embarrassing match; perhaps the worst beating of his career. He can talk about how he believes all he wants, but he was clearly a beaten man before he even stepped out onto the court. Really a disappointing effort for him to not make this a more competitive match. bournerdan 06-08-2008, 03:54 PM I also saw it - before he hit the first ball, Federer already looked stiff and subdued yup....my girlfriend kept saying to me 'Is federer ill or something?' the whole way through the match....most odd.... DDrago2 06-08-2008, 03:54 PM Roger's post-match speech and interview w/ Johnny Mac were all class. I don't want to boot him from the siggy anymore. Wait for Wimbledon, maybe you will want again DDrago2 06-08-2008, 03:54 PM yup....my girlfriend kept saying to me 'Is federer ill or something?' the whole way through the match....most odd.... no he wasn't ill, it was in the head HarryMan 06-08-2008, 03:55 PM Absolute perfect match from Nadal, he didn't allow Federer to play his game and when he ever did, Nadal had an absolute answer to that. Total demolition and this man continues to prove to be a once in a lifetime kind of a clay court player. Congrats Rafa :worship: And Federer, he will be back in the grass court season playing very good tennis, this match would not have any effects on his performance on the grass and the hard courts :D l_mac 06-08-2008, 03:55 PM Amazing win for Nadal, as expected. You're a real fan. Fantastic, if not IMMACULATE performance from Rafa. Karin  :worship: :worship: Fantasic post, and I know that it's slightly different for you because you love Rafa too, I wish the all the Federer fans felt like you do  Yeah, that's why I'll never get all of the whinage going on among some of the Rafafans. And then you ruin it with this :ras:  ;) FedererBulgaria 06-08-2008, 03:55 PM Fed:sad:Some brilliant winners, but:sad: crude oil 06-08-2008, 03:56 PM LOL...nbc is showing the wimbledon final..it will cheer all the federer fans up Castafiore 06-08-2008, 03:56 PM :bounce: Well, can't say that I expected such a score but I'm not complaining. Gracious speech by Fed! Rafa talking a few words in French! :) Yeah, that's why I'll never get all of the whinage going on among some of the Rafafans. Like the whining of Fedtards after Almagro's match, you mean. Karin, please don't go there. The tard war on MTF is not worth it. I know that you wanted Fed to win so  Fedex 06-08-2008, 03:56 PM Rafa didn't wanna make a big deal out of this win couse he respects Roger too much. I loved their speaches in the end, both giving credit to each other, especially Rafa. He even spoke a bit of Frech, he said in his blog he will do it. The crowd was cold as always, they don't deserve the champion like Rafa. Rafa's a great champion and I have so much respect for the way he handles himself, both in victory and defeat. I think even he was surprised how easy the match went; no resistance at all from Federer. Hopefully Federer can repay the favor at Wimbledon. Allez 06-08-2008, 03:57 PM Rafa was very classy in the end. He continues to impress me with his graciousness. No over the top celebrations. Billy Moonshine 06-08-2008, 03:57 PM I wanted to add a thank you to Rafa for my being able to witness someone playing at their full potential, a thing of great beauty, and my heart goes out to Rogi for being at the receiving end, but I think he knows better than anyone he lost to the clay GOAT and there is no shame in that. bournerdan 06-08-2008, 03:57 PM no he wasn't ill, it was in the head Thats 'exactly' what I said....basically he froze on the bit stage, bottled the whole match, a little like Ivanovic last year against Henin.... bournerdan 06-08-2008, 03:58 PM I miss Agassi.... Jelena_78 06-08-2008, 03:58 PM Congratulations Nadal :worship: danielmom 06-08-2008, 03:59 PM Nadal :worship: Knew it would be a straight sets win but never expected this score. No way does Federer win RG ever. Mateya 06-08-2008, 04:00 PM :haha: :haha: :haha: So much about Fed having a chance this time. A total demolishing. PHM must be proud he lost 7-5 4-6 4-6 4-6 to this clay monster couple of years ago. :worship: DDrago2 06-08-2008, 04:02 PM Thats 'exactly' what I said....basically he froze on the bit stage, bottled the whole match, a little like Ivanovic last year against Henin.... Yeah, the moment I saw him I thought 'you aren't winning today, you don't have it'. But frankly I didn't expect such a spanking, as someone said he was an UE machine today bournerdan 06-08-2008, 04:04 PM :haha: :haha: :haha: So much about Fed having a chance this time. A total demolishing. PHM must be proud he lost 7-5 4-6 4-6 4-6 to this clay monster couple of years ago. :worship: I remember that match, Great Great match, PHM was awesome that day and Nadal had to play great tennis to beat him.... RedFury 06-08-2008, 04:05 PM out of this world. period. nadal is a barbarian. Not much else to add, except for the fact that he was never tested all tournament long. Which means he can potentially play even better than he did... Fed and Nole fans may not like that thought. Mansave_75 06-08-2008, 04:07 PM Expected and deserved victory...Congrats Rafa! You make me very proud of you. Now let's go for Wimby please. :) rafa_maniac 06-08-2008, 04:07 PM Vamos Rafaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! Corey Feldman 06-08-2008, 04:07 PM Like the whining of Fedtards after Almagro's match, you mean.:rolleyes:I think you'll find a wide range of MTF'ers were disgusted by Almagro's bend over attitude and rightly so - that was the part that annoyed ppl more than the amount of games won so its not the same thing here Mateya 06-08-2008, 04:10 PM And you ask yourself how can even a "mentaly weak" player like PHM come so much closer to Nadal. Guy can at least attack consistently and make Rafa a bit concerned out there. Fed just cannot do that - either he hits a great winner or an UE. Federer :help: maskedmuffin 06-08-2008, 04:10 PM it was the banana matyaz ;) StevoTG 06-08-2008, 04:10 PM Oh my god! Rafa  dylan24 06-08-2008, 04:11 PM i'm glad i didn't watch this match bournerdan 06-08-2008, 04:11 PM I'm a big fan of Federer and not so much a fan of Rafa but I have to say Federer's attitude today was extremely poor and Rafa was professional in every single aspect. Fed needs to get back a little bit of the passion he had as a youngster. Sure he was gracious in defeat but I kept expecting him to fight during the match and it NEVER happened. Jesus man, break a racket, have a shout, hit a winner and scream to the heavens....SOMETHING!!!! ANYTHING!!!!!.....I dont understand it.... | |
