ESPN showed him got escorted (probably back to his seat) away from Jankovic's mom for causing too much commotion. (He was cheering too hard for Jankovic)

It's interesting though that he picks Jankovic over Ivanovic. =)

Perhaps Mountain Hag was despatched to cheer for Ana in the interests of fairness?

Really? Gosh, that's the first I've heard of it. :p

It isn't a big issue, as long as nobody gets hurt, and what he does has no negative impact on his kid. Once there are dire consequences, and potential $$$$ is taken out of Novak's pocket to compensate for the old man, then it is a real problem.

Entertainment is one thing, if done correctly, but as it stands right now, he looks like far more of a liability than an asset.

No she's not the type - she'll be plotting her revenge at Wimbledon where she can gain a lot of points on last year's early loss to Venus in R4.

When asked in the press conference if she was upset about losing the ranking next week she replied sarcastically

"Boo Hoo."

I believes Novak knows that. The family already is not sitting in the player's box in RG. But if his dad manages to come up with one retard movement after another, all he (or his agent) can do is damage control. His father is still the head of the family (this will be a very difficult concept to understand for some posters here) but that's the case for that family.

Although I am quoting your posts, I am not disagreeing what you're saying.

Srdjan seems to be losing it big time. Whatever might have seemed as some hostility towards Federer ad personam, it's now clear Srki has a load of crap in his head.

Most probably he considers himself some kind of Omnipotent Serbian Tennis God, for building two tennis academies. That would certainly comply to his personality structure expressed thus far.

Maybe daddy wanted to steam out before Noles match.

BTW, Todays 'Politika' (capital daily newspapers), confirmed the Srdjan assault on TV studio couple of days ago. But Viskovic (TV guy) negated he declined to report Noles matches (what was thought), saying he was busy reporting WTA and attending press conferences. He will report the SF's. The unnamed source close to Viskovic commented that he and Nole are in good relations and regularly communicate, but the assault itself was confirmed.

........

Judging by this news and overall impression, my take is that Nole fully realizes that Daddy is a liability, and acts accordingly. Maybe thats the reason why we haven't seen Head of family attending Nole's matches.

Uncle Toni and crew. The Nadals have a cluster of athletes in their box that would take Srdjan, Marko, and #3 to town. Hag would probably fight dirty with some mountain magic, but Toni would have a response for that.

I think that's the case actually. Ana has been painted as the least "loyal" and, who knows, maybe Novak liked/s her and she rejected him in the past? She's definitely very admiring of Roger, which must offend Srdjan to no end. I don't see why that would offend anyone, given how Novak is basically Ana's age and not really the material for a teenager's tennis idol/role model, whereas Roger was winning slams when Ana was just starting pro.

Yes, but had Jankovic won she would have been the first Serb to be No. 1, so what's the difference? Besides, I'm not sure Novak cares all that much what goes on in the women's game in terms of records. It's obvious to all that they're two completely given games (look at the discrepancy between Graf's 22 and Court's 24 GS wins and Sampras' and Federer'w 14 and 12, respectively).

JJ is far from perfect, and complete player
but why should anyone cheer for twat with a fisting fixation
who lacks so much in mannerism, far play and ability to hide the lack of it
is beyond me

as for Pater Familias cheering agains her
who knows what's that about

maybe it has to do with some backstage clash between her entourage and his entourage

maybe with some money investing, or not wanting to invest, in all that new tennis courts in Serbia

maybe she sad that she too will write her own 'my first grand slam monography ',and her's will have cooler, bigger more color saturated images in it than Novak's

maybe, it's possible it's that Federer adoration thing

who cares

if i where JJ i wouldn't be happy at all that he was cheering for me

who would?

So lets see where we are.

Initially he was asked to leave because he was sitting near the Jankovic camp and cheering too loud FOR Jankovic

Cue the theories about why that might be and what his motivation for not cheering for Ivanovic might be.

But then apparently he was cheering for them both.

And then apparently he wasn't asked to leave, but perhaps was just asked to keep his seat, perhaps getting too excited.

So what we seem to have here is a total non-story in every sense of the word?

Maria is fucking scary, I love her and she is fucking hot and outside the tennis court she is allways acting like a dumb american blond but she becomes Ivan Drago inside the tennis court, I used to feel sorry for her for having such a father, but little by little i've come to realise that maybe I should feel sorry for Yuri, I mean.. can you picture it? Oh well, what can I say, I still love her.

Even though I am a die-hard Rafa fan and not a fan of Djokovic even by any stretch of the imagination, for the sake of fairness I can't see the purpose of this idiotic thread. What has the actions of Djokovic senior at a women's match got to do with Men's tennis? What purpose does it serve? As for the guy who is questioning Manon's report, it seems he lives in his own world and has never visited this forum before. Even I who seldom posts in G.M or have ever visited Djokovic forum knows who Manon is.
For me the only purpose of this thread is to increase the hatred and fights. I wish that the powers that are administrating should lock this thread.

i kinda find the hate funny... you know... just, i haven't seen a 3 way hate fight for a while... you know, like the old days when connors told mac to 'f*ck off'... then mac replied with 'blow it out you arse old man' and when lendl tried to enter the fray they both told him to 'back the f*ck off communist'...

certainly the most interesting tennis has been for a while...

the animosity is pretty intense tho, so i understand what you are sayin for sure...

On the basis of his statements.

Clay Death
06-08-2008, 03:25 AM
On the basis of his statements.

and on the basis of his results on hard courtd as well:

1. in montreal last year, he beat Fed and Nadal on his way to the title.

2. he made finals of Indian Wells and won the Miami Masters last year.

3. he made the finals of the U.S. Open

4. he won the Australian Open and destroyed Fed in straight sets on his way to the title.

5. He won handily at Indian Wells this year.

how much proof do you really need of his dominance on hard courts. he has made 5 straight semifinals of slams and that means he can play on any surface.

defense rests.

I don't have specific statements on grass, no, but there wouldn't be much opportunity either, given how short the grass season is. I think grass will fit his game better than clay. Maybe not as good as hardcourt, but I definitely expect him to make even better results this year than last.

I don't have time (or really care) to go about dredging up all these statements. He clearly stated after he lost in Miami that the clay season was coming up and that it was not his best/favorite surface. His best/favorite surface is hardcourt.

Regarding grass, I think he's pretty confident about it, given his statement in the last RG presser:

Yeah. Grass court season is always something that I look forward to. We all know that the grass is much slower than it used to be, so baseline players have much ‑‑ a lot of success in the past years.

I played semifinals at Wimbledon last year. I have no reason not to expect any big results, so I look forward to it.

Just wait another month and we'll see where we stand.
