Wheelchair Event

Just saw on the scoreboard today some wheelchair matches and then suddenly wondered wouldn't the movement for wheelchairs be really difficult on clay. I mean the wheels would get quite alot of wear and tear, they clay could get a bit fucked up and of course it would be hard to change directions quickly etc. on churned up clay.

Do they use different types of wheels? Anyone know?

Those wheelchair tennis guys and ladies are just awesome! :worship:

I have read several interviews with the ladies champion Esther Vergeer, and yes, according to her, each different type of court askes for different types of wheels. I might be able to dig up one of them but alas - in Dutch.

Hey, it's my right to think wheelis playing tennis are funny. You don't see me asking you to be banned for thinking shitty hewit is anything other then a mug:rolleyes:

What the HELL is funny about atlethes trying to be their best in their sport, even while being handicapped? You might consider what a hard work, what terrible experiences these guys and girls have had to go through in their lives to be able to practice a sport at all. :(

I hope you're having fun trolling here Toko. You got my hopes up that I was finally gonna get the match, so congrats on that and making me feel crap now. But this is really low insulting wheelchair tennis.

Wonder if Shingo will win this one... surely him or Robin or Michael [who else is there? LOL]. I should check it out, would find it more interesting than the main draws.

Not sure what Toko wrote, the only thing funny about wheelchair tennis is:
-when the guy you're going for goes for a lob. CLASSIC. Bit rude, but hilarious.
-when the ball hits the chair [of the guy you are not going for]
-Martin Legner/Adi Peinsith.
Seeing someone pushing the chair hard to get to a ball might look a bit funny at first (I always laugh at my favourite because he makes weird noises when he does it), but it only takes a couple of seconds for you to be in awe.:hatoff:

Didn't know that about the wheels. I suppose it makes sense. Must be really expensive for them. A playing chair for hardcourts is expensive enough

I saw some hardcourt wheelchair tennis at a challenger recently. They're all so strong. I really admire them because I don't know if I'd have the courage to do it if I were in their position. :)

so you fail to see the entire point of my post; i suggest you re-read your own and figure it out. could not give a flying fuck whether you were a prick or a saint on here.

i was merely pointing out that you are telling someone to learn the difference between two words, while in the same sentence using the word 'your' in an incorrect context.

also, what about me? please do go on; if you can point out anything that implies i am a hypocrite, it would be wonderful if you could inform me, for it would certainly be foolish to call someone a hypocrite while being one myself!
