I realize Monfils is French but they must really like him to give him top billing over Federer.

Any french players would have gotten Chatrier over Federer or Nadal at this stage of the tournament, unfotunetly. The really moronic thing was to have them play at the same time... Not a big surprise though considering how stupid their scheduling has been so far.

I don`t understand why the organisers don`t schedule both quarterfinals on same court one after each other.
Instead of starting with a stupid women`s match at 2pm they could have started 2 or 3 hours later.

Bah Fed always plays on the main court in Basel, I guess that's what really counts :rocker2:

Both quarterfinals should be on Centre Court

I'm pretty sure Federer prefers Lenglen anyway. ;)

The point is TV audience should be able to watch both quarterfinals. No one cares on TV who is playing on center court or SL but they should make a proper schedule that the matches don`t intersect.Like put a women`s match on one court and men`s on the other court same time or start the day earlier

That's because Monfils is the new number 1, everyone knows it. He's going to storm through the rest of this tournement and crush everyone! Gael ftw!

has any of you ticket for Chartier today?
if not, where is the problem? TV will show Federer anyway

And this is fucked up. A couple days ago Eurosport was showing pathetic match between Nadal and Verdasco instead of definitely more attractive match between Almagro and Chardy on SL. I hate this politics to show all the time the best 2 players in the world no matter how weak is their opponent

Even two French no names playing each other will be put on a big court over seeded players, at any stage of the tournament. They are catering for the French crowd who will be buying the tickets.

Federer's sucking badly.

He heard most of the matches have been boring, so I think he's spotting Gonzo some games. Fed always does that, he feels sorry for players and gives them games, sometimes he gives players whole tournaments or slams, actually, yea, that's the key to beating Fed he has to feel sorry for you. You'll never win if you piss him off, or he doesn't like you.

Until the women's match was over British Eurosport was showing that match. Missed the whole first set of the federer match which is probably going to have been the most exciting part of the match and i bet it'll switch to the motfils match as soon as that gets going.

That's why it's everyone's best interest that no French players are left in the draw after round 1.

Obviously they should have held both men's quarters on Chatrier, with an earlier starting time considering the possibility of rain. That, however, would create the issue of having enough people attending the women's quarterfinals.

Yes, I think so, too. He prefers Lenglen over Chatrier.

Have a QF men's match in Lenglen will help to sell more tickets there.

Have both QF men's matches scheduled behind both QF women's matches will shut players up for unfair scheduling when there's rain delay.

Yes, I agree that it's more fair this way.

I hope you've gotten over this sufficiently to move on with the rest of your life. Good luck!
