What an amazing run for Pablo and Luis, :worship: Who would've thought? They took out so many players they weren't supposed to.
They broke Bob so many times  To quote Mike, "Bob can go months without being broken" ( I don't know how true this is but anyways)
Good job ;)

I never thought they were close to winning as I thought it was a best of 5 match. I only realized when they said they had match point. That's when I remembered only Wimbledon has best of 5 doubles matches.

Just read this:

BRYANS OUT: Bob and Mike Bryan couldn’t recall ever declining to shake an opponent’s hand up at the net after a doubles match, no matter the result.

It happened Monday at the French Open, when the American twins took offense at what they considered too much exuberance on the part of Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay, who teamed with Luis Horna of Peru to beat the No. 1-seeded Bryans 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (1) in a rain-drenched quarterfinal.

When the teams changed sides in the third-set tiebreaker, Cuevas celebrated his duo’s 5-1 lead by hopping over the net. He landed not far from the Bryans, who were taking the more orthodox route around the net.

“He was really disrespectful,” Mike said. “He jumped the net right in our face. It’s classless.”

Added his brother: “I thought he was rubbing it in our face a little bit.”

Cuevas wasn’t exactly apologetic.

“Maybe I celebrated a little too much. But it’s worth it,” he said. “It’s not every day you beat the No. 1 team.”

The match ended under steady rain, and the balls were loaded down with water and mud. Play was suspended on all other courts at the time.

Why didn’t the Bryans ask the chair umpire to halt play?

“We thought maybe we’d get some momentum and get a break,” Bob said.

But Mike acknowledged: “If I had to do it over again, I would stop.”

So they didn't shake their hands? For those who saw it was the celebrating really that over the top? Hmm.

too much exuberance

Oh. My. God. First the French cheeseballs, now this! When will this scourge of disrespectful doubles players be purged from the game? I hope an exorbitant fine was imposed. Poor Bryans, subjected to unabashed exuberance from these classless claycourters! :crying2:

Lucho, Pablo, if you're out there, please review this video of an appropriately respectful, classy celebration:

I mean if someone said before this event that Horna and Cuevas would make the semis of the doubles at RG taking out Clement/Llodra and the Bryans.

I'd have said stop taking this stuff.

Now they are there, it would be funny if they won it, not expecting this of course.

They only shook the hand of one opponent, didn't complete the whole ritual there. And the commentators here were laughing because they saw the jumping-over-the-net thing and the celebrations (which were a bit exuberant, yes, but nothing that bad) as the players' way of mocking the Bryans' annoying chest bumps and in-your-face celebrations - and I agree, it was pretty funny. :p
