I thought you didn't post for so long cause you were at Wimbledon, like last year.

I hope you enjoyed your time off, wherever you spent it

2 straight Grand Slams for your Russinas. If you had said that to me before RG it would have made me laugh - does that count? :)

Kenya is beautiful. I'm afraid of snakes so probably won't go there myself, but the wildlife is great there.

Indeed as mentioned before the fun was in other sports and not tennis. There were plenty of soccer surprises and I guess you also missed some russians girls breaking world records in athletics this weekend. Hicham el Guerrouj finished 8th in the 1500m this weekend. He was invincible since 2000 on the distance

TBE, yes the Russians beat Greece in football and that was good.

He only loses Olympic finals in that event, though I hope he wins this year.

maratski
07-06-2004, 10:43 AM
He lost in '96 and in 2000 and since then this is the only loss he suffered if I remember correctly. For some reason he sucks at the Olympics, while that's where he should do well

Action Jackson
07-06-2004, 10:45 AM
Well he got tripped in 96, but the other one well he decided the one day, not to be at this best and the Kenyan got him when it counted.

maratski
07-06-2004, 10:48 AM
The Kenyan sucks ass since then so did he have to take a gold medal away from us? :fiery: ;)

He might run the 5000m too at the Olympics so that will be nice. He was close to winning to gold medals in Paris last year.

Ngeng peaked when it counted, don't complain about medals getting stolen away Khalid "no neck" Skah did a great job in Barcelona of that in the 10000m.

I do watch athletics as well, and then only specific events.

I always watch athletics in the summer. It's very popular in Morocco since we've got some good athletes.

Paris last year was a lot of fun. The american guy was hilarious. He cried his eyes out :haha:
