Come on , why should he serve worse than he is able, just to please people who are wanting to see bagels? Serve is most important shot in tennis, if you dont have good serve you are club player and not pro. Wilt Chamberlain made free throws worse than Shaq or any amateur and he is still remembered as basketball legend. Everyone has his own strengths and weaknesses, there is not such thing as perfect athlete. Karlovic maybe is not legend, but he is a good player and he deserves to be in world top30

Karlovic is a legend! He's going to be remembered long after most of his contemporaries, even players who were top 10.

I meant Chamberlain -leauge legend he probably is not, but yes, he will remembered long time after retirement, certainly much more than most of toptenners

Yeah you're right on this one, but you didn't get my point. Maybe i didn't explain it well, it just pisses me off Federer is not given the credit he deserves. Some people now says Karlovic is equal to Federer while Karlovic is only holding on due to his serve. Of course Karlovic deserves his top 30 spot. Last year he made some great achievements but he needs to pump his level up this year, cause so far he has been crap, you gotta admit that.

actually he had a decent first half of the year
he reached rd 3 at AO
SF at Rotterdam.
but yeah he didn't do anything much apart from that.
at the same time he got himself injured at davis cup which added further problems for him.

Anyway Grasscourt season is coming soon. i expect him to dominate at Queens and nottingham. hopefully he can the wimbledon curse and reach rd 3 or better.

I'm looking forward to the Roddick-Bolelli match!
Roddick is one of my favorite players but on clay he usually plays crappy.
Bolelli is also one of the upcoming players and has had good results the last couple weeks. And he plays in his home country of course... Italy's last hope!

So that's why Verdasco is clearly outacing Blake, himself a good returner, today? Not a fan of either player but I somehow doubt your assessment is fully accurate...

Yes i still remember the match against Hewitt in the 2003 first round, that was amazing.
On Grasscourt he can dominate but again like players who are really good from the baseline, passing shots and have a good return he has no chance.

Surely he can win against everyone on Grass, but i think Fed,Rafa or Djoko will be impossible hurdles to take. But i believe Karlo can surprise against players of the caliber Roddick,Ferrer or Davydenko.

Only been watching them play since earlier in the set but that pretty much sums up what I've seen so far. Personally I'm indiferent to Blake and actually dislike Verdasco but, from what I've heard and seen about his game, he's not a shabby server - plus being a lefty can't hurt either.
