Just because he's surprised people by beating Davydenko, Nalbandian and Fakervic recently, I really would not set your hopes too high.
Federer beat Nadal: 2-6 6-2 6-0 on clay.
While Nadal has beaten him 6 times on clay.
If Federer beats Nadal in MC F tomorrow, that'll be impressive, beating Davydenko, Nalbandian and Fakervic (who has retired against Fed and Nadal 3 or 4 times now) is nothing.

How old are you? 5? I keep on hearing people cheering for Federer and expecting him to beat Nadal.

It's not illegal, you know.

They may be wrong but so what.

This needed a new thread? You couldn't put this observation in the poll thread?

Why are they 12 but I'm only 5?

Bloomin discrimination.

Old enough that we don't need to desperately seek attention by starting a thread to state the most obvious fact in all of men's tennis. :)

That is about 1 more time than every other player in mens tennis in the laast 3 years.

How often do you see people pumped up thinking Federer will beat Nadal on clay? :|

Federer is confirming he is the best of the rest.

Nadal could end his career as the greatest clay court player in the history of the game. He is building a sizeable amount of evidence.

Would you rather his fans slit their wrists? I see nothing wrong with tennis fans getting excited and hopeful about a tennis match. It's better than the behavior some of them exhibit AFTER the match (either gloating like it was their own accomplishment or insulting one of the players).

You act like there's something wrong with that? Should we just pull for the player who has the best chances of winning or the players we WANT to win?

It's fairly obvious. Fed fans (including me) also know that Fed would surprise himself as well if he were to win this thing. That doesn't mean he doesn't want to win or it's an impossibility.

Tennis is the winner either way. I won't be disappointed if Nadal wins, but I will be extremely happy if Federer wins.

I don't know how much sense that makes.

LOL at PMK and Glenn.

Anyhow, I actually really like Federer's chances tomorrow. He's hit the ball better than anyone Nadal has faced (both depth and power), and I don't know what it is, but he's playing with this anger in him.

Maybe it's all the criticism he's got all year, maybe it's the mono, his face, mirka, who knows. But I like this new angry Fed.

Take it to him evil Roger!!!

the head to head doesn't mean much when you look at what has happened in their matches. in Rome fed had match point on nadal, in hamburg he beat him and in other clay matches he was doing well until he brain cramped. sure, nadal is still the better clay player but fed has shown he has the stuff to beat him. I have a feeling about tomorrow...
