Me too. It's tough for a finalist if he doesn't get a day off and his competitor does. It's not uncommon for someone who wins a semi on Saturday to still win the final though.

sometimes yes, sometimes no.... I've seen a lot of players come out better after each rain delay. I suppose it depends on each player, the specific day and his/her mentality, how they're playing that day, etc.

The players come back onto the court, the sun goes away. They are finally ready to play, after like 40 mins and Bam... rain again :(

Well, without the cover the court will be very slippery, so the covers do do something, but it takes time for them to set up the nets again, and the players can't warm up until the net is set up...

God, this rain is ruining my morning.

oh I know, they have to protect the grass. But one of the biggest complaints about the USO was that because they had no covers it took a long time for play to resume... but, it seems like it takes just as long here at Wimby WITH covers :confused:

It's quite heavy right now, and the tent is up (as well as everyone's umbrellas). Probably will be quite a while before we get any more play. The beeb has given up for now and gone to a replay of Martina's mixed match last night.
