What do you think of this one, folks?

http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/9780/23666931xp2.jpg

- Nalbandian leads H2H, but Robredo leads on clay, plus their only encounter here in MC went to Robredo's favour
- Dave had good winter/spring clay season, but Robredo found his clay feet recently

Don't know, but the match will be awful, as both will try to tank it to avoid being spanked by Federer.

Edit: did I say Federer? I meant Monfils, of course... doh

From what I saw today, Federer will be humiliated by Dave, but I got the joke :)

robredo is past his prime. i dont see how he can hurt Nalfatian.

i will take the worst case scenario and say Nalfatian in 3.

He doesn't need to; David is pretty adept at hurting himself

point to be noted. you never which Nalfatian is going to show up. if he goes to an all night cheese burger and free beer party, he will lose fast.

Thomas Robredo in a mugs match....without about 20 breaks of serve.

Robredo in two.

And btw, nobody should get too excited at the prospect of a Fed-Nalb QF. The Fat One hates getting up early especially when there's good food and a casino in the vicinity. It explains why this is the only major clay event he's never had an impact on.

I dont see why not. Djokovic hasnt proven anything on clay.

Robredo has no weapons and he is past his prime. Djokovic is a surging star. i dont think robredo has a prayer.

Djokovic won the Estoril title last year. he also made the semis of the French Open last year.

I'm aware of what Djokovic has done.

He beat a bunch of mugs for both those results

I remember the exact quote by him - 'it's ridiculous to play at this time' (10 am ) in his faymoose grumpy tone.

As every Nalbandian's match, it depends on his motivation :).

Let's be honest, he's a better player, let's just hope he doesn't want to see the F1 practise session in Barcelona live as soon as possible.

On Nalby's racket, provided he's in a good mood. Hopefully he feels ready to play, despite the early hour.

Robredo in 3, unfortunately.

Nalfatian is the worst fat dave nickname I've ever heard, and I've heard them all. :worship: A CD cringeworthy special.

I don't think Nalby is in top form and Tommy seems to be a little bit more confident on clay. VAMOS ROBREDO :):woohoo:!

Don't know. Robredo seems to have found his game in recent weeks.

BTW I never knew Robredo was still pretty young.

Nalbandian is a better player in all aspects of game.If he is in a good mood today he should easily win it.

Robredo is not a mug. He can play very consistent and be very patient, therefore lot's of people consider his game boring, but he can bore to death opponents too. One way or another I have no idea why are people making pools on Nalbandian matches. It really doesn't matter what time of year is, which tournament, who is he playing, what kind of form and results they are having lately, or on what surface they are playing. It depends on a little bugs in his head. He is capable of delivering 2 bagels, but if he gets impatient and tries to slam winners at every shot I can easily see Tommy on top of this one.

P.S Since the pool is not public: I voted for Nalbandian in three.

Boredo, time for Nalbandian to prove me wrong.

Nalbandian should never lost that Monte Carlo match, but hey he has won some, he shouldn't have, got to take the good with the bad.

David can demolish anyone, but then again he's known for losing to complete mugs so...

You just never know with him

I agree with you but when he gets deep in a tournament it is realy tough to beat him. Most of those losses to low rank players (Like Kunitsyn or Gicquel) has been happened in the first rounds or when he has not been in a good mood in that part of season but this season after Almagro he has the best win-loss record on clay.
