Well played Sam and respect for having a go on the clay.

Seppi was playing like he was drunk and thought the net was used for gathering balls instead of hitting over it. He lifted in the 2nd set, but Querrey played too well overall and deserved his win.

All jokes aside, you gotta love Sam for having the balls to come to Monty and getting dirty with the dirtballers.

Not an eye pleasing game he has, but his efforts on clay is delightful to see.:D

Not shocked, especially as Seppi is well capable of brainless performances...but I still expected him to win.

Gotta respect Querrey for showing a willingness to get his hands (and clothes :tape: ) dirty this week...more than can be said for Roddick, Blake et al.

P MAC should put Querrey in against the Spain. No matter who plays for the US in singles, they will lose but at least this will show Roddick and Blake that they should be be playing more on clay and it might encourage others as well to play more on it especially younger players.

Roddick and Blake also played this event at Querrey's age. They were also much stronger on clay back then.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that he's playing here but this isn't a revolutionary move that's going to lead American players to come here.

What I like about Sam is that he's a trier. He doesn't have exaggerated ambitions, he just wants to see how good he can be and how far he can go. This is a kid who never got any support from the USTA. His family didn't push him or mortgage their futures pouring money into his career. He finished high school at home, and sort of came into his own gradually. I wish him all the success possible.

So am I . Totaly didn't see this one coming.

I didn't expect big Sam to win, but he does have a game that Seppi doesn't like playing against. In spite of this I thought Seppi would have enough claycourt nous to get the job done. Well hitting the ball over the net would have helped in Seppi's case.

Unlike some people and this might surprise the odd clown. I have nothing against Querrey and never have, sure his game isn't always the most pleasing. He gets in there, has a go and he knows he is not the saviour of American tennis, no matter how much jcempire wants him to be.

Jiminik, as for Roddick, well Querrey has already had better wins in this event, then Roddick ever has. Gonzo 57 and Ulihrach 44 and Rodidick was what top 15.

Poor baby lost some money.

Yeah i lost big time, but it is only my mistake, Seppi destroyed me last year with his great matches against the likes of Hernych and Armando; I do not know why but I had a high oppinion of him, saw him a couple of times and got the feeling that he isa a consistant and talented player, but this was a big chance for him and he blew it totally.

he demolished Gordo with an excellent gameplan, and what happens against the clay master Querrey, the total opposit, he goes down mentally, he could not stand up to the task being the favourite in that match;

I am going to continue to put big time money against this american clown, because he is just a bit better than Karlovic and Isner, a catagory of mugs, and only headcases(like the italian fratboy) or old playboys (like the spanish lord) can loose on this surface to Samyboy.

Action Jackson

Like I said in my first post. Seppi played like he was drunk and thought the net was something they used in the sea to catch fish.

It doesn't matter how great your plans are. The greatest plan of all time could have been invented and studied in infinite detail, but it counts for absolute shit, if a player can't the ball over the net or once they hit the ball over the net miss the lines by metres when they are in the dominant position.

It's not hard, do the simple things first, then it becomes easier to implement the plan.
