Peter Flemming is nearly on par with Andrew Castle for being commentators that get paid for doing jack shit, and pulling random facts out of the asses.

Yes, losing to Murray on his weakest surface would be a similar upset to losing to Anderson on a hardcourt, where he was defending champion.

watched some tennis today... notably the players in question.

agree with zcess81 and ninanina19 Novak is a slight favorite, but anything could happen.

was more impressed with murray today, could really listen the pop from the back. he played more matches and now against far better opponent on clay than nole did.

worrying for muzza is that he, unlike djoko, can not attack much from the forehand, although it seems he has the game for it. still holding something within (my impression).

if djoko exercises his full game for a bigger strech though, murray has no chance.

If he was feeling exhausted or injured he should not have played or he should have retired after the 1st set. If he was exhausted/injured in IW he should not have played Miami. Besides he reached semis in both so I don't see how he was injured/exhausted in BOTH tournaments...he just lost to a superior player on both occasions.

those matches are telling.... but not much. only effect imo is mental. i somehow dont believe that andy's gray cells have putted it at the bottom of the pile. but doesn't mean much either, cause if he plays his near best throughout the match, djoko will be compelled to raise his game. not necessarily that it will happen. it'll be a slug-fest.

O yeah, who can forget that. Nole totally destroyed Muzza last year at both IW and Miami. Clay is a bit different. What's Murray's favorite surface? I believe I've read somewhere that he practiced a lot on clay in his younger days.

Andy's game should be suitable on clay , yet he underachived on it. It should be an interesting match, both have matured as players and not far from their best level (2 tournaments each in 2008). Since this 2008 is a year when bitches strikes back I should go for Andy ?! Nah, it will be Djoker in 2 again, but I am hoping for a 3 intensive sets.

Prediction: Murray in three sets.

I'm not convinced about the Nole clay tennis yet, expecially his forehand loses great part of his power. It's the occasion for Muzza to win his first match against the Serbian but to be honest I think Murray suffers the personality of the same age opponent and so, probably, Nole will win in three foghted sets

On this surface, there can be only one winner and that's Djokovic.
Djokovic's baseline game and consistency will be way too much for Murray on Clay.

Murray usually plays more aggressive when he knows he isn't the favourite to win, which is true in his matches against Fed and Nadal, hopefully he stays true to this.

lol you're funny.

You can't compare players like that. Different players match up differently. If you take it that way than Murray should be no.1 on hard courts cause he's got winning record against Fed. Ridiculous argument you have.

I'm not saying that Murray doesn't have a chance, but Novak is a CLEAR favorite in this match-up.
