Great to see Younes get some wins on the challenger tour at age 36 on clay after the disappointing defeat in Davis Cup. Younes plays Beto Martin in the final, which should be a good match. Seems as though the veterans have turned back a clock a bit on the challenger tour with Verkerk, El Aynaoui, and Martin in finals.

Good week for Younes with wins over:
d. Brands 7-5 6-2
d. Meffert 6-3 4-6 6-4
d. Greul 6-7 6-3 6-4
d. Devilder 6-4 6-3

Edit: On a side note, Younes also won a Spanish Futures event this year as a qualifier in his only other main draw appearance this year.

Some very good wins there. Well done Younes, great to have him back playing again. Also he should have a protected ranking of 144 having been out for 6 months prior his Future win in Spain so that should get him into pretty much any challenger and also the qualifying of most ATP level tournaments as well. Hope he keeps playing for a lot longer. :rocker:

good to see Martin slowly working his way back up again. He didn't get the chance to defend his R16 points at Roland Garros and his ranking plummeted.

he's a legend
