Good first set from Gil, but it all went downhill after the rain delay in the 2nd

Gil is pretty solid on clay, hopefully he can make the transition to the ATP clay circuit

Can't say much about this one as I only saw the middle part between rain delays (from 3-2 in the first to 1-1 in the second). The two service games Federer lost were a couple of the dumbest breaks I've ever seen, but he did play well to break to win the first set and I guess Gil never had enough game or belief to really trouble him, considering how quickly he slipped away after breaking at the start of the second (he didn't win another game, in fact).

Like I Said, this wasn't Gill having a let down, it was Roger smacking winners from everywhere on the court, both feet planted on the baseline, he hit like 5 or 6 winners in a row at one point. There was nothing Gill could do at that point

Gil also should be tired because he had to finish yesterdays match today and they put the match with Federer too early, they should at least put this match for the last match... so maybe he didnt have enough strenght and belief in the second set... obviously playing against Federer wouldnīt contribute. I really donīt agree, maybe Federer played better in the second but because Gil completely dropped his level... Gil in the second set, didnt play as well as in the first definitly... but im not critizing, he was playing against the number 1 and it was his second match today in a short time, so Gil probably couldnīt do more...

I think it's mostly because eurosport only has the right to the women's tour and 3/4 GS because sport+ has the right to the MS and most of the other important tourneys, so ES France try to get their hands on every ATP MM they can, not that I'm complaining though ;)

Well well. I go out to get myself a bite, and when I come back - the match is done. That was a quickie in the second set, Feds.
I expected a little more from Gil after what I was able to see from him in the first set but apparently he folded and/or Fed thought he had enough rain on his head for today. Some sloppiness with the FH, some completely :retard: breaks against him, but in all - solid victory Feds. :yeah:
Still, not good enough to have any chance against the Real Big Fellows IMHO, but the improvement is there.

Pathetic to see this thread derail in a Fedtard - Rafatard Mudslinging Contest, btw.

Well, that doesn't change what I said in the previous posting, since ES International isn't handling it like ES France, for the simple reason that Tennis isn't popular enough in the rest of Europe.

Well, enough whining from me. I am glad that I have the ATP Masters Series stream for Monte Carlo, since I don't get any TV coverage of the Masters events.
