Well done to Escopeta on making the QFs, yes he really should done it easier and was down a break in the 2nd set, but got the W.

He plays Odesnik next and whoever wins it will be their first ATP semi final.

In fact whoever wins through in that section it will be their first ever final. Granollers-Pujol, Daniel, Roitman or Odesnik.

Seriously, I can't imagine myself Roitman losing to Odesnik, but shit happens and it's a Parallel Universe year

And I'm seriously astonished to hear that Escopeta never reached an ATP semi, I though it happened like once in a MM clay event

Nice work by Escopeta :). He has a good opportunity in front of him this week. Hopefully he can take it and reach his maiden ATP SF.

Odesnik, well he plays a claycourt game, but Roitman should really have enough weapons to put him away. It's just a question of whether they fire or not.

He made Kitzi QF last year.

Vamos Escopeta :rocker2:

This will be the 3rd ATP QF of Escopeta's career. His first 2 came at Vina Del Mar (which was one of the tournaments plagued by the dreaded RR format), and Kitzhi (when he won 3 matches, beating GGL, Massu and also Chela despite losing that comical first set) last season.

Vamos Escopeta carajooooooooooooo

Daniel, Roitman and Calleri on quarter-finals, I'm loving this tournament :)

Polaco could have reached it too so it would be perfect

:worship: This will be Escopeta`s tournament.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too much, out-of-form Escopeta beat clay-court legends Isner and Kunitsyn here...Odesnik can play on clay unlike the aforementioned players.
