If Peter Luczak falls below 100 ( which he will :o ) and below the cut off is he still going to be in MD coz he made the cut? :o

Luczak is already in. It doesn't matter where he is ranked now, as he was ranked high enough to get into this event directly when he needed to be 6 weeks in advance as always for ATP and Slam events.

You have been here long enough to know how it works.

Statistically there always a few players that withdraw for various reasons, I would expect about 5 at least, it would be strange if Coria didn't get in. Last year there were 9 withdrawals (plus 4 more with LLs).

Xavier Malisse is not in the list ???

Xavier has withdrawn because he cannot use his protected ranking anymore at the French open. He could play quallies, but he prefers to play the Casablanca tournament to gain some more points.

His next tournament will probably be the challenger of Rijeka.

Hewitt says on his website he will give it a try:
"On his website today, Hewitt said he had every intention of playing the French Open.
“I thought it best to go to Paris and start my originally-planned preparation in the hope that the hip will be OK for me to compete,” he said.
“I am being optimistic about playing the French and also the grasscourt season, especially Wimbledon.”

Ican't really see why somebody should withdraw early so an alternate could get in. In my opinion, it's much more fair to complete the MD with LL's than with someone with PR. Coria got plenty WC's this year, but he didn't show he actually can beat somebody. The same will happen at RG if he gets in: first round goodbye.

its not a matter what he did this year .he have a PR and like all the players he can enter and if he will lose in first round so its ok but this is the rules and in a few tournaments he will not play anymore with PR (becouse he will play all the number of turnaments with PR )

6 -8 LLs

Roko is 7th seed on quallies and he made to the finals allready. Does it mean he's in anyway? It's hard to believe that all of first six seeds will pass to Q finals and than (almost everyone) losses it?
Personally I don't see Nishikori and Anderson in finals, Schwank and Bellucci both are unexperienced for such a tournament, so some surprises are inevitable.:);)

It's almost sure now that LLeyton Hewitt would not withdraw - he is in RG playing some training matches. No official withdrawals announced sofar, so it's unreasonable risk for Q-s top seeds not to push as hard as they can to win in the finals.

Yes, Bellucci and Schwank are in!

Actually they aren't. The ITF pick them randomly depending on the number needed.

Nice way to tie up 16 players for days, doesn't sound too practical to draw them complete ly randomly.

Who are the pretendants for LL positions now? Do they have to sign in, and is it possible that someone doesn't know the regulations as well as he should so he didn't apply for such a position, and somebody else does, so he gets in like a LL...

When are the SFs?

I know top half has to play Friday (because of the schedule so far). When does the bottom half play?
