The draw is out and Nole is in the bottom half. His first match will be vs a qualifier or Calleri. Shouldn't be any problem and potential next round is Andreev who has been struggling with injury or Michael Berrer/Qaulifier. Basically, don't see anyone in his quarter is capable of an upset. :tape:

Let's just say I lived for three years in Scotland, with a guy who did his best to f*** my life up  So I can sometimes be quite disparaging of it - but I still have many friends there really, and the scenery is so beautiful in the Highlands.

we better not going to GM

I did  But only for long enough to make a quick post congratulating Anderson. It will get lost for sure, amongst the trash in there, but I refuse to sink to the level of the haters and trolls on GM.

We can't expect Nole to win everything for goodness sake - he has already won the two biggest trophies of the year so far, and he's not a robot, nor Superman,- just a human being who is entitled to an off-day, or just to get beaten by a player who is playing better on the day.

Let the guy enjoy a few weeks off - whether it's back home with his family (or even still in Miami with Ms. Sharapova  ) "One swallow doesn't make a Summer" as we say here, and one loss really doesn't mean anything, -so let's rejoice for what he has given us this year so far, and not cry or be angry for what happened today.

Now I'm off to suffer over Dima's live scoring

I come home from my friend's house feeling happy, and then I see Novak's results? Oh man oh man oh man... I must be dreaming or something, this must be a wonderful nightmare.

F!@# NOLE DAMN IT, Oh crap I knew this would happen, I really really wanted to believe nole could do it again but I felt the same feeling that i had after he won in Canada, I hope this doesnt become noles tag, that he cant win back to back tournaments, but I really thought after IW that he could make the Miami finals again like last year. Then when Fish lost and I saw that Nole was gonna play anderson I really started to doubt that he could do it.

I dont know what the match was like, But I do know that Kevin is having a "john isner/sam querry" type of run, hes a huge guy with a really tough serve, and hes also got the ice water in his veins that john had last year when he won all those 3 set tie breakers, but like Querry he has quite a solid back court game and moves well for a big guy, I think he might move better side to side than any of the giants, also his running forehand seems to be great and his groundstrokes as a whole seem to be a bit better than any of the other tall guys. Problem for nole is that his Kick serve would have sat up perfectly for Kevin. Its times like these I wish he had a back up weapon like Federer, Hes more like rafa, he has to claw his way to victory when hes not playing well and he has to out gun players, federer has that slice that really f@#$'s up todays ball machine players, Nole needs something like that, or he needs to incorporate more nut rushing i dunno (but thatll go together with improving the slice). I just wish Nole had a "No effort" point in his game, like slicing 10 backhands deep or blocking/chippping back serves is a "no effort" point and it makes the opponent work to get into better position to attack the ball, whereas you can just sit back and catch your breath, Also Nole seems to have to do much more running than Nalby, Nalby also has that "no effort" point in his game, he runs about 1/3 the amount of his opponents, Nole always tries to pain the line by goin down the line whereas Nalby works the corners and the angles and paints the lines that way, its MUCH more of a high percentage play, and it also takes less energy, he times the ball beautifully but its not as hard to time a great cross court shot as it is a great down the line shot. It opens the court up much more, I feel like Nole doesnt use his brain out there sometimes, he prefers to show everyone whos the man by NEVER backing off the baseline to give himsefl more time to get into better position to get a greater angle or watever, and that hurts him in a BIG way on off days.

Please nole, pull your head out of your a$$ for once, I know you love to stand right on the baseline even on clay, its a neat trick but its NOT always the best way....

Heres to a brilliant clay court season and number 1 by Wimbledon!!!

This isn't a bad loss, anyone who has seen Kevin play will know that. He has awesome firepower, he's got great potential. I'm not surprised at all, I was actually kind of expecting a letdown after Indian Wells.

Nole really needs to start doing better to control his antics. I mean, I don't think he should completely give in to how everyone expects him to behave (less ball bouncing, etc.), but he's alienating a lot of people with his more annoying emotional outbursts.

Still, I'm not torn up over this. And I really don't care about the idiots in GM, they're just happy because Nole won't extend his already enormous lead over their faves. Who cares what they think? It's like asking an Al Qaeda member their opinion of the United States. You know what they're going to say, there's no point. :p

Anyway, it's just one tournament. It would have been nice for him to get some more points since it's a required event, but he's done so well this year already that I don't think we can fault him for this one loss.

I do think Nole's team needs to do a better job in scouting his opponents. From Nole's post match interview, it's clear he and his team underestimated Anderson and had no game plan vs him. They need to know NOW Nole is the hunted, not the one hunting like before.

I couldn't agree more. I mean he can't act like a spoiled brat any more. He has to grow up. I was so upset with this loss today and the way he lost. He was up a break in the second set and than just collapsed (the time violation, his tantrums, the crowed was booing him etc.). That has to stop. I can't believe that nobody in his team is addressing this issue. Sorry I had to vent.

Exactly what I think. He must have got used to the crowd's favourable reaction last year (when he was always the underdog) and the converse is proving hard to take. He needs to realise now that most champions are not loved early in their careers - this tends to come much later, if at all - and that respect/love has to be earned. I appreciate he's an emotional and outspoken guy but shaking fists and screaming at the crowd will do him no favours.

Interesting because I said this before the match...

Anderson shouldn't be overlooked. He's on fire :scared:

Nole should win, I'm just sayin' :[

And he was overlooked, he was on fire, and Novak *should* have won if he didn't start his antics :tape:

You know what...Right now...he is a spoiled brat. Too many things and matches went his way. I think this is good for him...he needs to be slapped from time to time...
On the other side, I never realized how many haters he's got. The thing I'll get orgasmic satisfaction will be watching those guys converting from haters...to fans...and I can guarantee that the biggest haters will turn into the biggest apologists...

Grrr - saw the Anderson result today and and am so mad. How the hell did Nole lose to this guy? Am one of his biggest fans but he needs a big kick where it hurts for this loss. He should be cruising through with the draw as it was here...what a chance missed.

Now want Mario or Rafa to win - but not Fed.
