I hate that he's facing Simon for his second round match.. I just don't want him to lose this time, even if I love Simon. The latter is a spider, weaving a difficult web to get out of..

Now Hewitt..

THE GOOD NEWS IS :

Even if Gilles Simon has a slightly different game from Lleyton Hewitt's, they still share similarities, which means that Misha is already "prepared" to face this general type of game (blockers).
Besides, Youzhny is supposed to be better now than Lleyton whose results are so irregular

THE BAD NEWS IS :

I jus said that Lleyton was irregular.. so he can surprise us.
And sometimes Misha can fail too..

Davai Misha :wavey:

It should be an interesting game to watch though.. I wonder where I'll be able to watch it.

Jeez.. What's going on ?

I don't think it's so surprising  Hewitt loves this surface and the US hardcourts in general, whereas Misha doesn't like IW at all - and never plays particularly well there. I am not too worried about it really - at least Hewitt is a class player to lose to, if that makes sense!!!

Let's see... Fish, Tipsarevic and then Ferrer.. it's reasonable. Then it'll be Murray or Davydenko (or Ancic) in the QF.

I don't expect too much from Misha in Miami, he never played well here.

I expect my tribes to help me promote my game --> http://iqtr.niceboard.net/index.htm :bounce:

Well, pay a little attention : he hits his SHOULDER several times BUT as he does it with so much power, he can't stop the racket's frame from hitting his head. It's like a side damage.

You're very welcome.

Indeed I think he must have felt a little bit silly. And yes he was very tired as he only resisted one single set against Janko Tipsarevic

The match result was not really a surprise to me - Misha did look tired, and emotionally drained. I am actually surprised that he won a set. I must admit I like Janko anyway - so if he had to lose, then Janko is the best player for him to lose to in my eyes, if that makes sense! I hope he can have some time now to go home, rest and prepare for Davis Cup, where I'm sure he will play a pivotal role as always.

Anyway - guess it's time to move on - Davis Cup starts next week, and I'm sure Misha will play an integral part in the tie, so you will see him in action there! I will go and start a new thread - it is more interesting than working, even though I'm in my office and meant to be working :o

Not exactly the entire Press Conference, but I just found this small article which gives some of the quotes Misha made after the match.
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/news/story?id=3325571

From the above link:

Youzhny is an intense guy, but he told us he'd never done anything quite so violently zany on the court before. "Were you embarrassed to have to call the trainer at such a critical time in the match?'' I asked. "I didn't want to,'' he said, equal parts stoic and sheepish. "But then I saw the blood dripping on the court.'' '

Almagro lost his temper a couple of times too, as Youzhny noted: "We were just two crazy boys out there.''
