No goran appreciation??

I scroll down the forums...

no mention of goran's play???

well he was bloody impressive for sets 1 and 3... set 2 was average... but most of it was after a rain delay..

he was very consistent... and remarkably cool

so that's an 8 match winning streak - including wimbledon 2001

fingers crossed he can crush volandri - (revenge for the davis cup defeat in 5 see-saw sets)

and then just maybe play the match of his life to beat hewitt and make it to 600 career wins...

u can always dream for a character like GI!! :worship:

I know that;) but if there's a win and it had to deal with a croatian, usualy Bl@de or croat123 are the first ones to post a thread about it;)

He was quite impressive today and hopefully his shoulder will permit him to play as good as he did today. It was an intertaining match and I will surely miss him when he leaves after this.

I missed out watching this match yesterday. :(

Best of luck -- Goran. Hope he can do well in his final tournament. Love to see his serve.

 :aparty: :rain: :scared: :woohoo:

Is that enough celebration for you? Ivanisevic's serve was firing just like the old days, but what most impressed me were his groundstrokes -he pummeled Youzhny with that forehand time after time. And his showboating was as entertaining as ever.

He was great against a good opponent.
So good to see him again on that center court, first time in three years after that wonderful final against Pat.
If he makes it to the third round and faces Hewitt, I will be SO torn. I think it's time for Lleyton to once again make it to the end stage of a Slam, but this is Goran's last one so... I will hate to see one of them lose.

He played really well though!!! Good to see him on court with that smile of his and creating laughters by kissing the net cord and so on..wishing him all the best..if both goran and lleyton meet, it will be a horror match for me..it will be a heart breaker..oh my..but do hope the best player wins and hope goran continues serving those booming serves..

Wow, Ivanisevic won! I thought he will be out in the first round.

But the chances still look grim for him because Hewitt awaits him...

And it's funny to see how many people today speak about Goran as the most charistmatic player of all. That talk started maby a few years back, I don't rember anyone seeing him like that before.

It seems that any old player is more charismatic then a new player, or what? All in all I am a bit tired with that personality stuff. It's bulshit. The game is everything.

He is lovely, it would be so cool if he would get to the final again :)

Too bad it's his last tournement! The first tennismatch i watched was his finale at wimbledon and i loved it so that's what made me watch all tennis, so i owe him a big thanks!

We talk about his charisma because only a few players have it in themselves nowadays...
It's always cool to see players who don't act like robots and have feelings to express.

If you're not interested in personnality stuff then don't care but don't bother others and NO the game is not everything.
