White shirts dont bring sexiness out on the court. They need to change.

I mean, they do give out angelic vibes, but they dont give you anything to fantasize:(
Usually I get to enjoy myself while watching them play, but with white shirts, not anymore.

Errr.

It's tradition. Personally, I find it all starchy and highbrow and unnecessary but well- it's their tournament.

I speak the truth. If i wanna see sexy women, I wouldn't be watching much tennis and would find myself watching some other stuff

Your point being? I'm even a Dokic fan  oh the shock, the horro, 2 of my faves are sexy women. please shoot me. I care about their tennis a hell of a lot more than their looks and way to assume crap :rocker2: keep up the good work

You're acting offended at what I say. Women can enjoy tennis and men at the same time. Personally, if I saw a nice ass walking across my screen, do you think I'll just sit idly by? Uh, no.

Um... you're a tennis fan so top priority is......... the tennis being played right? which is exactly what I posted. You posted some derogatory bullshit of "typical male response" meaning i only watch tennis for the tits and ass. I said that no I dont and I enjoy the tennis being played. don't mind beautiful women, but i wouldn't care if they were wearing grannie style dresses, i wanna see them play tennis.

No, I posted it because I am tired of men accusing women of the same bullshit behavior that they exhibit on a regular basis (i.e. drooling all over themselves over Anna K. or an Anna K. wannabe). When the women on here exhibit similar interest, men wanna respond with "what about the tennis". In no way am I condoning the content of some of these threads; they do belong on the non-tennis thread. I am just saying to men here is PLEASE GET A DAMN GRIP.....

thats nice and all, but i specifically said that I watch the tennis moreso that the women's bodies. so your reponse to me was void. had you been right and I do watch for the T&A you would have an argument. but I don't so oh well

And the truth of the matter is, no matter how provocative CVK's post may be, most of the men on the tour need desperately to sex up their image to keep the female fan base interested.
Maybe the female tennis players are less afraid of their sexuality than men are? Or maybe men are more "stiff" and uncomfortable showing off their "ass-ets" (and believe me, some of them have terrific "ass-ets")? Whatever...some of these men have wonderful bodies. Why not showcase them to their best advantage? The sleeveless shirts are a great start....

I can't believe this is even going on. If a player is hot, then fine. But I don't think they should be "flaunting their sexuality" to keep their fan base interested? I watch tennis for tennis, it helps that the players are good looking. Not the other way around.

I'm sure Anna Kournikova/Martina Hingis got straight female fans as well:)
I mean, being athlete professional athletes, shouldnt these guys have realized long ago that some of their fans will be having fantasies about them;)

For two weeks out of 52, I can handle looking at a white shirt. If you want to look at people in not-so-white shirts, have a look at challengers and futures for the next 2 weeks. I think its a nice way to respect the Wimbledon tradition.

Both dress code and play are important. I dont mind staring at female players if they look sexy during the game. :)

Only two points.

1. CVK, you're too horny. Enjoy tennis. (And that is devasting coming from me. You can ask around ;) ) Beauty is a bonus, no matter the sex of the player and sexual orientation of the fan ;)

2. White shorts reflect most of the light -> more details :aplot: -> If the shirts are boring, the shorts not  , you're looking at the wrong place :tape:

There's a saying that goes: "Less is More" ;)

I totally agree with this and you will realize it with anyone. Look at my Carlos and Tommy Robredo. Carlos was playing his match and he was sexy without sleeveless shirts (though I like the sleeveless as well) and wearing only white because he is just sexy on his own terms! And Tommy too!
So to simplify things, sometimes not showing too much can really set apart those who are naturally sexy without trying, from those who need the costume to help them out. But that's not the point, this is Wimbledon and just by looking at the venue and the history of it, it is normal for it to have certain limitations and requirements.

And they're supposed to act on it?

This might be a harsh example, but if Bush knew tons of people wanted to kill him, is he suppose to act on it and kill himself?

If this means you actually WATCH the game now, then I think they should force players to wear only white clothes everywhere :p

No one says you cant enjoy both at the same time. Tennis is just like food, both go well with sex:). But with Euro 04, suddenly, I'm not that uspet about all the rain delays...:drool:. But I got what you saying, Those legs do look a lot better with white socks:drool:, those shorts do bring out the details, thx, now that I know how to enjoy white shorts, I'm make sure to focus on that:)

@@ I'm not going into the 'sexiness' issue BUT i do think Wimbledon is quite boring with it's "all-white policy"!
---->>>>>> The array of colours on offer at French Open made it a much prettier site to watch on TV, especially kudos to: S & V Williams, Roddick, Moya, Federer, Hewitt, Nalbandian, Kuerten... who all looked fantastic & nice contrast from Red Clay with their: hot pink, mauve, light green, bottle green, sky blue, orange & black attire respectively!

Conservative Wimbledon Pomy Snobs need to get over themselves & wake up to Tennis in the 21st Century!! * The more colours the better & same goes with players from various countries improving^ nice to see the rise of South American's & Russian's plus many Asian Countries too.!!!

It's a tradition. Besides, it's only two weeks per year. Isn't it more boring when players where the same old outfit for half a year?
