OMG, I left the house as Kiefer was up 2-0 sets and he lost it... biggest choke of this year, he was up a break and 2-0 sets and choked.

He had this match in his hands... oh no!

Kiwi :smash: :smash:

I'm completely shocked now

fucking rain delays... old mental problems are coming back to Kiwi now :banghead:

He completely dominated Johansson the first two sets... how could he lose that? :banghead: OMG OMG :fiery:

06-21-2004, 06:34 PM
good thing that I didn't see the finish of this match

he won just 4 games after the rain delay, unreal... same choke as Haas some years ago against Safin

what a joke! :banghead:

ONE HELL OF A BLOW... and the worst thing is that Johansson got lucky with this delay and Kiefer got fucked up in his rhythm :fiery:

That last set was a tank, right? I mean, it's hard not to assume as much, with Kiefer and all. I have no problem with Kiefer, I just know that tanking isn't beyond him ;)

Well done Thomas and that last set scoreline, Kiefer must have been taking the Marcelo Rios fighting spirit pills.

No, it wasn't, he just stopped trying. I think the rain delays (four or something) wrecked his concentration. The last delay was at the end of the fourth set, I managed to see the fifth on tv. Once Kiefer got broken in the first game of the fifth he pretty much gave up and lost interest. He didn't even bother arguing an iffy line call which gave Johansson the second break. He just looked like he wanted to go home.
Majorly crap, Kiwi, I was not impressed  So much for him being a possible outside favourite for me

06-22-2004, 06:52 PM
Did Kiefer think he is at home leading 2-0??
What a shitty result

Congrats Thomas :yeah:
