what do you think of...

players originally from other countries but chose to represent another country?

i mean tatiana golovin is russian but represents france
alex kuznetsov who's junior represents america but her sister's russian
i guess there are more like rusedski...or...et cetera can you name more

i think it''s ok since it is their decision but if i were their compatriot i would feel bad a bit...

Well, I think it doesn't matter where you were born but what citizenship you have

it's everywhere the same, also in other sports like basketball or football... etc.

personally, I think that it is okay, especially if the player was raised or was already living many years in that country what he/she is representing... but I think it is quite cheap just to give somebody the citizenship because laws allow it and the player has no real relation to this country or because this player has had ancestors some generations ago

Somebody said this -

The whole world is my place. I'm was not born for one corner of the world.

But I'm not sure whether this applies for sport.

Many players should represent Monte Carlo or Swiss.
