Florian had 3-0 in the second but retired after losing 4 straight games. Anyone know what's wrong with him. Maybe has something to do with that loss to Hyung over the weekend?

I was wondering about that as well.
Usually when you get a lead like he did in the second set, you fight a little bit more.

I also wonder what was the problem with Mayer...
Still it's another win on the main tour for Kei! :D
Good luck in the next round vs Young or Delic! :yeah:

 I almost thought it was impossible, but Mayer seems to be getting worse every week.

How on earth he's still in the top 100 I'll never know.

THis kid Nikishori is good I saw him playing with Guga last year in Miami and Juniors too...He has some potential to develop into a good player. What do you guys think?

Nishikori undoubtedly is a prospect. But it's true Mayer is awfully out of shape, he plays beyond pathetic these days. Retirement due to some injury doesn't change the fact.

Mayer played Davis cup on clay over the weekend then plays Rotterdam next week - he never had no intention of winning this match. Just here to collect his appearance fee.

They give appearance fees to someone like Mayer? I dont think he is such a big drawcard.
